Time will tell, Dobson perhaps? The squad is still too bloated though. Ross has said previously he wants a smaller squad.

Two GK's
One RB with O'Nien as cover.
Two LB's
Three CB's
Five CM's
Four wingers
Two strikers

Plus the kids around the squad.

Of those Watmore is perpetually injured, the three CB's are awful, all of the CM's could have been cloned from the same DNA and our strikers scored 8 goals between them.

There's an awful lot of work to do there imo.

I think people need to get a grip and understand that the Cattermole thing is mutual. The club wanted his wages off the books, because they werent commensurate with his performance on the pitch. They offered him the same deal as Rodders, take less overall money but get a fresh start elsewhere.

He probably took it because he knows he's becoming a pariah here and wants to be able to come back in some capacity one day. None of this could be done without both parties agreeing.

Ok, he only wanted to leave because he could see what mess our owner is in , and could only see things getting worse . Ideally he wanted to stay .

Aye ok marra, but he didn't want to leave when we dropped from the premier league to the first division

Yes , I know someone. You expect people to name names on the internet? Really . All this is common knowledge from people who know .
No mate. I didn't say that

Everyone who claims to be ITK gets asked how they know. And most who claim to know someone at the club or the inner workings of it prove to be full of shit to be fair.

We have about 26 players in the squad if you include the young players earmarked for a role. That's more than enough numbers, hence why if we're bringing people in others need to leave.

Just think......Stan and Olly at the back still and the same manager using the same tactics. It won't go down well methinks.

If we are winning games, literally nobody will care.

Well it looks like those doubters are quite right to be doubting the owners finances this season after all.

Pfft so called supporters!

It's a little worrying to hear that seeing as Cattermole leaving is saving millions and we've signed two free transfers.

Are they? We have a huge squad, we need rid of players to bring others in, not rocket science is it (and thats before we even get onto FFP rules)

We have a squad of 24. With one or two likely to leave still. I know he wants a squad of 20, but realistically he's never going to get that as well as bringing in players we're so desperate for. Cattermole is gone, Oviedo likely to go. Other than that no one is interested in our players that the club will let leave.

Disagree that there is a lot of work to do, we finished just a few points of automatic promotion with a cobbled together side who had only just met each other when the season kicked off........They all now have a season of playing at the SOL which must be a huge learning curve for young uns and most of the team. They have a season getting to know each others games and Ross has a season under his belt too......There is no reason to think that we cannot turn some of those draws into wins and go up automatically, with or without a massive rebuilding program. Said at the start of the summer that we need a few key additions, coupled with getting some of the top earners off the books.....Ruiter, Matthews and Catts going is a good start, Oviedo going would be a great summer........Then we need those few key players in and happy days.

Then we will get to see how good a coach he is I guess.

I'm not confident we can push on further with pretty much the same squad. It makes sense to shift people on. But we need to take the gamble more than ever. Sign two players such as Maddison and maybe Dobson who would improve us massively regardless of whether we shift two players or not.

This is a rotten scenario. Simple as that. It could be worse, we could be Bolton, but still, we’ve been taken for mugs by the looks of it.

Why did our form get worse as the season progressed then?
