Second Test - England v West Indies

Game was lost first day after a piss poor batting performance

Batting is a worry but it wasn't lost as it happens. We led by 321 with 2 wickets left. You shouldn't lose from there.
Moeen loses confidence if he doesn't strike early. Woakes was a big disappointment, maybe it's fitness. Not sure why Roland-jones was left out.

Moeen goes missing when the pressure is on him.

Swann would have ran through the West Indies on that pitch.

Always been a Windies supporter mate since we had Jimmy Adams as our Professional at Eppleton.
I went to Jamaica in 1994 to watch him play his 1st Test against Eppleton and stayed with his parents. I was treat so well by the Windies team i have been a supporter ever since.
Now support Jimmy in his Director of Cricket role with them now.
Eppleton had test status back then?

Yup, well done WI but it was nothing short of criminal losing that match after fighting our way back into it yesterday.

Liam Livingstone has scored a double hundred batting at 3 for Lancs today. Possible shout to replace Westley?

Can't imagine what you would have been saying if Cook was captained

Some strange bowling choices and tactics there

Its not as easy as it looks is it?

The press were over the top like, this is nowhere near the worst test side

They put in some really impressive performances against Pakistan recently, it seems none of them watched that

Well played the Windies. You can only beat what's in front of you - it shouldn't be held against them that England are piss poor.

They aren't, which is why we just destroyed South Africa.

We are one of the best in the world.

If we were 1 down in series I'd have been all for it but 1 up didn't see need. Batted through to close last night and got 350 on it would've been game over as far as chase goes today. Root thought two bites with new ball last night and this morning would put hole in windies. Not unreasonable to think that but wasn't necessary to act on it IMO.

I am not disagreeing but you always harp on about how Cook and Strauss's declarations are too defensive

You can't now completely change your stance?

I've always been a fan of batting the team out of the game, and this has just enforced it. Your post here does not reflect how you have been talking like.
