Second GamerTag Using One XBox Live Account

Just a quick one for Xbox gamers amongst us.

If my son as his own GT under on Xbox Live Account, can I create a second account/GT, thus having 2 gamertags, and then share the XBOX Live account?

In more simpler terms, are XBL accounts linked to each GT, and thefore, would I then need to pick up another XBL sub?

Basically he wants to play XB at his grandma's but daughter whats to play XB at the same time, both under their own GT. Is that possible

Doesnt this just work like game sharing? I buy an xbox live sub every year but my mate use's it on his console too.

You don't need two subs or to be on the same console. I have xbox live on my account and share it with my son who has his own account and xbox. We share game pass ultimate in the same way.

You don't need two subs.

Just make your xbox your 'home xbox' and it'll give every account on the console xbox live gold. I have 3 accounts with gold, yet only pay for one.
