Season card question

As a contingency , will last seasons not still work ?

If they don't start arriving by end of this week I predict another wholly avoidable world of ball ache for fans and club alike

They didn't say they just said the company making them had not delivered them yet  imagine first game of the season if it's not resolved.

Aye, absolute ructions. Sadly its not too much of a stretch of the imagination. Its all well and good taking an axe to the costs but the jury is well and truly out on the move to ticket master and now possibly whatever hairbrain arrangements they've made for printing the s cards.

They've changed the doo das iirc. Still got mine like, just in case.

Unlikely re the previous cards as I believe its all new technology in the turnstiles, don't think they'd have gone to the cost of all new s cards if it wasn't needed.

They'll just have to send out match tickets for the day

Going with Ticketmaster was (another) wrong move by the owners. I know of someone going away this Friday and arriving back at Newcastle Airport on Saturday morning heading straight to the match.

That sounds like a colossal undertaking also, for the 3 staff left in the office. I wonder at what point they would decide that's what's necessary. For one thing they know that thousands of their loyal season card holders live outside of the region and many travel up to the games a few days before hand in order to visit friends and family etc.

Aye I know they are updating them, but could they still not read the old ones as as part of the new technology.

Still think they must have a contingency, surely ?? I know its SAFC we are talking about.

Worst case scenario they print out individual match tickets and post them out, but they'd have to get cracking soon.

Hopefully nowt comes of it

Yep, I'm wondering at which point they say fuck we need to print and post at least 22,000 individual tickets..

The second that happens, chris waters' email inbox is going to f***ing explode again .

Surely they decided on this upgrade months ago, and gave the contract to someone competent, with a completion date well in advance of the season to allow for a buffer period in case something went wrong. Surely ?

I honestly can see them all sitting there at the club behind the door waiting for 22k cards to be delivered before they organise what to do next. Every day the postman just walks straight past and they go 'ah well I'm sure they'll come tomorro'

Yes it was decided ages ago, early in the new year if not sooner, all tied in with ticket master

You'd be getting a new one anyway, everyone is.

What's your definition of just in time?
Self explanatory surely ?
I am sure guidance will be given in due course ( if needed) as to when, what and how. It’s currently just another excuse for folks on here to get all publicly worried about something that is not going to happen .
