Season card fiasco

Similar situation to myself.

Card wouldn't work against Wigan, despite being told it had been activated, but steward let me in. Contacted the ticket office who said it was reactivated for yesterday. I sent them a photo of my card to ensure it was the correct one as I've a few in the house, but never got a reply.
Turned up yesterday and never got in, went to ticket office and joined the queue, a good 100 or so in front of me. After a very slow moving queue I finally got to the front and the lady said it was the wrong card. I showed her the email I'd sent and said I'd asked the question but got no response so she apologised and printed me a new one (all white).
I asked if it would work all season and she said yes but to come back next week and swap for a proper one if I wanted but I said I wasn't bothered what it looked like so would just keep this one.
So I left there a bit pissed off at the time it took (it was now 3:40pm but happy with how it had been handled.
But......I then got to the turnstile and the new card wouldn't work at the turnstile or the handheld scanner the steward had so he let me in and just said to go back to the ticket office next week. So in the end, another shambles. Finally got in at 3:43pm.
Did you leave early or stay until 540 to get your moneys worth
 
It’s so easily avoidable, and you know if you went back to ask for a proper one they’d try and charge you for it. If you pay £450 for something the least you deserve is something that looks half decent mind

I can’t imagine having a life where a plain white card would wind me up so much .
See, I thought the same about the pink seats. Why get wound up about seats that still move up and down and saves your arsenal from hitting the deck? The cards being plain is just amateurish though, just a lack basic planning, makes us look like a tinpot club playing in the Wearside league
 
Couldn’t get to the Wigan game so was nervous about using my okd card following renewal, but it was fine, although there was one older bloke in front of us who was stuck trying to get his ticket to work at the next turnstile for a good 3-4 minutes.
 
We still hadn’t received our st so emailed Friday, no response. Rang yesterday, was told they’d email tickets. Nothing. Queued up to be told there didn’t seem a problem. Went back to the gate, didn’t work. So just bought 2 childs tickets online stood at the gate and used them
 
Not good enough by the Club weeks into the season.
Someone needs to grab this problem by the balls and get it sorted.

Sadly, this is the sort of thing that happens when you pare the admin staff to the bone and then furlough those that are left.

I do get the impression that KLD is trying to turn things around, but I hope he is aware of the issues that people are having and it isn't hidden from him.

It’s all about branding. You want people not associated with the club to see your brand and have them say ‘That’s SAFC’
Apple, McD's, Shell Oil, etc. all are instantly recognizable.
The club should put some pride in every little aspect of the fans experience no matter how small.
KLD wants us on the world stage in 10-15 years? It starts now.

This I fear could be the answer.

The night of the Hull fiasco should have deserved at least an apology.

I get all that , but a few replacement cards in white are hardly the end of the world short term or a priority in the scale of things.
 
Only time I've seen away fans in BCB is that 4-5 game against Coventry. They used the wheelchair balcony as an overflow wheelchair area for away fans

The lass in the ticket office did say last thursday that the printers have buggered up which is why we have been given white ones... Once they have the printed SAFC ones these woul be sent out...That is what I was told at the ticket office.

Posted last week that they seem to have a grip on the playing side but for the admin side to fall so low is a worry. from the slick operation with the season tickets since the stadium first opened to this what seems to a a third world low cost budget operation whilst taking peoples hard earned is nothing short of a disgrace. There has to be a "buck stopper" within the Club who needs to explain the rational behind the f**k up

My friend who has had a season ticket over 25 years renewed last season tried to get the beam back with his season ticket but it failed to work never tried again. So this season never got his money back and had to pay in full again this year. He had to miss the first game of the season because of work commitments, tried to get in with the card he has always had for years. Didn’t get in until half time. Shambles of a club, shame on them, not even an apology, never mind being compensated.
