Season card fiasco

Didn't want to bring this up yesterday to avoid bringing negativity on a day when we've won , but another season card f*** up. One of our group (all of us season ticket holders for 30 years), couldn't get in. There has been no change to any of our circumstances but the rest of us get in and he doesn't. He is advised to go to the ticket office and when he does there's around 100 others in the same situation (some very irate). He is issued with another card which doesn't work, goes back to the office and gets yet another one which also doesn't work. He eventually gets in on 41 minutes after a IT worker at the club lets him in with his pass. A total shambles and this is what you get when you become totally reliant on technology. When it becomes apparent that there was a problem, the priority should have been to get a gate open and let them into the ground ASAP, not pissing about with replacement cards. I trust these people will be getting refunded

While I agree its a shambles its been shown before you don't just let a gate open and let fans in...

Not to pour oil on your woes mate but a lad up from Wimbledon yesterday with his two kids had just collected tickets at the ticket office (1.40 ish) for the lower North Stand.. Why they allowed away fans in with the home fans is another question that needs answers but his three ,newly printed tickets did not work either. He must have tried four or five times with all his tickets. Gate 31. The steward was as much use as a chocolate fire guard so we sent him along to the gate further along 32A where there were stewards but even then I never saw him or the bairns on the concourse. Sad to say its a ticketing fiasco these past four weeks that the Club are seeming to accept

I take it he had purchased a ticket for the home end and not the away. There's no reason why they would be putting away fans in with home fans, it's certainly not a thing.

Similar situation to myself.

Card wouldn't work against Wigan, despite being told it had been activated, but steward let me in. Contacted the ticket office who said it was reactivated for yesterday. I sent them a photo of my card to ensure it was the correct one as I've a few in the house, but never got a reply.
Turned up yesterday and never got in, went to ticket office and joined the queue, a good 100 or so in front of me. After a very slow moving queue I finally got to the front and the lady said it was the wrong card. I showed her the email I'd sent and said I'd asked the question but got no response so she apologised and printed me a new one (all white).
I asked if it would work all season and she said yes but to come back next week and swap for a proper one if I wanted but I said I wasn't bothered what it looked like so would just keep this one.
So I left there a bit pissed off at the time it took (it was now 3:40pm but happy with how it had been handled.
But......I then got to the turnstile and the new card wouldn't work at the turnstile or the handheld scanner the steward had so he let me in and just said to go back to the ticket office next week. So in the end, another shambles. Finally got in at 3:43pm.

My mate was there with his brother. Both had etickets on their phones. His brother's works fine, my mate's doesn't work at all. His brother tries to load my mate's ticket on his phone to see if that would work and the steward is just saying they can't use a ticket twice. Not sure he understood they weren't. They just let him in in the end.

Well he had north stand tickets for entrance 32/31 ..he, as did his two kids have Wimbledon shirts and scarves on and spoke with a southern accent. Yes,the away fans access is directly opposite gates 32/31 but these were home end tickets.

Very strange, I mean there's no chance you'd want to be in the home end. Perhaps they were in the black cats? Although I've had season cards in there before and never saw any away fans.

yes, its a strange one because the club , I was told , could not sell home ends to away fans. Its seems to be a shambles at the minute with ticketing.

Only time I've seen away fans in BCB is that 4-5 game against Coventry. They used the wheelchair balcony as an overflow wheelchair area for away fans

Was this lad going in the entrance in the South Stand where the stewards were at the turnstile? We we're going in behind him was worried I'd have the same issue again as it happened to me randomly the season before last!

Is there any way club can be sent this thread . If it fills up with stuff like this then they really need to see it
Yes you could email the URL link to them. Isn’t hard for you to do personally

Had an issue a few years ago and the steward took my driving licence and used his radio to contact the ticket office to verify the name and address, and upon doing so he just let me in and then I went to the ticket office a few days later to fix the issue. Not sure why this can’t be done for such issues - can’t really be fixing ticket problems at 2:55

The whole blank, brand-less cards that people have been given while they work (for some) and ultimately doesn't really matter just shows how inept and clueless the club has been run.

It's embarrassing

It would really piss me off if they gave me a blank card mind. There’s just no need for it and it’s so amateurish. It shouldn’t, but it would wind me right up, because I am too petty 😂

Whoever fucked up on that one needs the boot. My card at Shields at level 7 looks better than my Sunderland card
