Sean Dyche

He’ll be watching how Lampard and Gerrard get on rather than thinking about us.

Burnley fan I spoke to yesterday was adamant Dyche was coming here, said the rumour is rife back home but I don’t believe there’s any chance of it

Aye, cos we don't play with a big man up top.
Oh, hang on, we play with two.
Yes and we bypass the midfield looking for knock downs?

Just because someone is tall doesn’t mean we have to play it to their head, Stewart and simms are much better with the ball to feet or to run onto

Isn’t he a perfect fit?

Experienced in Championship and Premiership

Not afraid of criticism and can stand up to players

Sticks around for more than just a few months

Smartly worn tie in interviews

Wins football matches and gets promoted
He's my choice.

I put £200 on him being the next England manager last October at 10/1 so hopefully he’s out of work until January

He is perfect for the club, in fact I would argue he’s better than alex neil. He may not come here and work with a DOF but the fact we haven’t even interviewed him just shows the gross incompetence of speakman and the lack of ambition of the club. Just when the club started getting some momentum instead of building on it the club are looking to go for another cheap option it seems a deflate everyone
So he's perfect for the club but may not work with a DOF?

Isn't that a contradiction?

His Burnley team came here and sat in their own half against Moyes' horrendous team. He's not as good as people think and doesn't fit at all with what we're trying to do.

Would certainly have him rather than Mowbray but we haven't got the money by looks of it otherwise Neil would have stayed. The wage for the next manager must be peanuts, first person to accept will get it most likely.

Would seem an expensive choice for who I perceive as just a safe pair of hands.

His brand of football is dull, although safe enough to keep us in this league. I don't envisage much progression under the bloke whilst having to pay him big wages.

I would pay Dyche more than Neil going on previous performance

Do people not realize that a manager has to be pragmatic and work within the limits his team allows . If Dyche tried to go toe to toe with the top clubs they would have been annihilated. Look at the likes of Norwich and Bournemouth etc . Their managers try to play nice attractive football with limited players and they get their arse handed to them .
Those who turn their nose up at Dyche really have lost touch with reality .
