Sean Dyche

Dyche would be an outstanding appointment. Did an unbelievable job with Burnley.

I know he doesn’t exactly fit with our model but he would still get final say on all incomings. Knows what it’s like coaching a time in an area going through hard times etc. He would be my number 1 choice…if we could find a middle ground on his wage demands.

Think he’s a shoe in for a premier league job though (Bournemouth,Villa, Everton, Brentford if Frank moves)
And again no chance the likes of Villa and Everton would want him

Apart from being too expensive and sounding like he needs to spit out some phlegm, he would be a canny appointment.

If Dyches too expensive for a multi billionaire owner then he can fuck off, kld must be a fake
Is the point i have been trying to get over since this shit started.I better start by saying AN is a f....ing disgrace, however he asked on the wembley turf to be given the tools and he would do the job.We are sitting here now with basically the same team as last year and the tools have consisted of a boatload of kids for both the u/21s and 1st team .So although his increased wages have attracted him this shitty board have yet to show anything to suggest we have billionaires running the show. The club at every level is being run like a corner shop.So you are right in what you have posted.

Shit turgid football, never achieved anything of note in football, poor in the transfer market, has a Moyes level obsession with ‘more britishness’, on his way downwards as a manager, left Burnley pretty much where he found them a decade later, doesn’t fit our style on the pitch and in the boardroom.

Don’t see what anybody see’s in him really. Just another one making up the numbers and doing nothing of note in the game. Huge backward step
This

Does he get another PL job though?

His football is a bit Brexit like, even after years at Burnley it was still a big man up top, lots of crosses and a deep block. Very good at what he did but limited.

A bit Brexit?

His Football was shit to watch but effective and had a lower skilled team overachieving in the best league in the world.

We all know Keane is a non starter.

Mowbray won’t demand the same level of wages as Dyche - his stock is nowhere near as high. Mowbray has also got previous for working with our head of recruitment, recent championship experience and is prepared to blood young players.
Got to admit I m starting to warm to the Mowbray idea.

Alternatively , promoted a side who shouldn’t be anywhere near the Premiership and kept them there for years .
Anyone who turns their nose up at Dyche needs sectioning.

People going on like all we've got to do is pay Dyche what he wants and he'll be up here in a shot. How does anyone even know that Dyche would want to even come up here in the first place? Is he really worth 5mil plus a year ? We have a lot of young exciting prospects in our squad, who if looked after right will have bright future in the game IMO. He hasn't got a reputation for nurturing young footballers so would he want to start now ? I respect what he did at Burnley, keeping them in the premier league for a few season was a fantastic achievement, but the way some people are going on you'd think he was Mourinho, Klopp , and Guardiola all rolled into one...

Fuck it lets get Brian Laws, Chris Wilder or Ian Holloway then if that’s the only criteria.

Also keeping them there for years isn’t really the brag it appears to be considering they stunk the league out for the full duration they were there. I don’t want a return to the Short years for us.

Can anybody remember a single notable Burnley player from that time? A single classic Burnley game? A decent cup run? A great Burnley upset? Literally anything other than making up the numbers? Robbie Blake 1.0 v Man Utd best I can come up with but that was under Laws I think.

He took over a yo-yo club, had a decent finish one year in the league out of 10, wasted all their money on utter shite, and then left a yo-yo club about to be relegated.

Isn’t he a perfect fit?

Experienced in Championship and Premiership

Not afraid of criticism and can stand up to players

Sticks around for more than just a few months

Smartly worn tie in interviews

Wins football matches and gets promoted
He is perfect for the club, in fact I would argue he’s better than alex neil. He may not come here and work with a DOF but the fact we haven’t even interviewed him just shows the gross incompetence of speakman and the lack of ambition of the club. Just when the club started getting some momentum instead of building on it the club are looking to go for another cheap option it seems a deflate everyone
