Charge them £500,000 a player that will be a boost for the NHS.
Well, on the one hand, I can see his point. Football is the biggest sport in the country and is the release from every day life for many so if more games get postponed, football fans lose that outlet which could lead to mental health issues? A bit sad but it's the way it is.
On the other hand, there are millions of other people who are in more urgent need for the vaccine than overpaid footballers.
I get where hes coming from but on other hand why on earth do fit, healthy footballers need to be vaccinated. We had 14 players positive and they are all fit and playing football again within a few weeks.Absolutely no reason to fast track them. I get what he’s saying but it would mean they’re jumping in front of higher risk people. I could see the internationals getting done before the euros but if you were doing players down to our level it would take the piss
He does say that vulnerable people should come first, to be fair.
This is what he says, once all the vulnerable people have it then footballers get it, Simon Jordan was talking about it yesterday on TalkSport as Dick Pound said Olympic Athletes should get it 'prioritised'.Only time anyone should be suggesting vaccinations for footballers is after all vunerable people have had it.
Actors would have to take the place of a member of the general public though, sports teams have doctors who could give the vaccine, this of course only works if we are at maximum capacity in general public.Vaccination needs to be done on medical or expected risk (age etc) grounds and also those dealing with the most vulnerable.
Football isn't a special case.
Football is important but you could make the case for performers, especially actors who haven't been able to make tv in the same way.
Yes, he does but I think he's hiding his real reasons behind the reason he mentioned in the article.
I get where hes coming from but on other hand why on earth do fit, healthy footballers need to be vaccinated. We had 14 players positive and they are all fit and playing football again within a few weeks.
Have any footballers been hospitalized? I dont think so. If we just let football crack on without this rigorous testing then i think it would be fine.
