Being from Seaham, I can't help but feel proud about how the towns growing in recent years, It still has a reputation of being shite.
But everywhere you look something new is being built, anyone who is sick of Sunderland, should pop through and check it out.

Note: Avoid church street.

Aye it still has a bad reputation but the money put into development is excellent, from the transformed marina with cafe and bars, to the new health centre etc next to the job centre and the expansion of Seaham Hall

I would say most who work away from Seaham or commute are very proud of it, but I still know a lot who spend most if not all their time there and slag it off, and its reasons like this that brings it down

Come on a long way. Enjoyed living there but being from Sunderland I wanted to be back in town.

It just needs townies to breed with the natives and in a few generations it'll be spot on....

It is the centre of the universe populated by the most beautiful, intelliegent, salt of the earth people on the planet. FACT

Out of all the colliery towns in the northeast Seaham is the jewel in the crown by a million miles

PS, Im from Peterlee but my Dad was a Seaham lad and I have been in the Harbour Views a few times

I love working in Seaham, I try to spend all my lunch breaks down the harbour. Went on a walk the other week around the Industrial estate and found a great cycle route that goes to Ryhope and Houghton.

Did a land Survey a couple of years ago around the Bus Station, couldn't move for puchchairs, charvers and seagulls.

Another one of those places where people blindly say is a shit-hole without having a clue.

The bit down by the cliffs is breathtaking. The whole place is on a flyer.

That bus station wont be there now

Although the people havent changed a lot, I know a lot of lasses from Seaham school who left with nowt so felt the need to have sprogs to fill the void
