Seaburn Beach v Roker Beach

Seaburn is the better beach, but Roker is the better overall front. Prefer the landscape there with the cliffs, hills and views whereas Seaburn is pretty flat. There’s also better drinking establishments along Roker, but Seaburn could be mounting a catch up on that front with The Stack and then there’ll be the Seaburn Inn to add to whatever Fat Buddha used to be called and The Promenade.

Cat and dog steps beach when the tides out - it's a reet sun trap in the summer.
Was visiting couple of years back Easter time me and our lass out for walk coats scarves gloves the works bassas were sunbathing at cat and dogs
And always Roker as a kid but bus queues were always horrendous when it came to home time

Roker for the kids to play on and the cove near the boat club is good for the kids in the summer

Seaburn canny for the dog and rock pooling along near Whitburn

When we were kids though it was Roker all the way as said before less temptation of the fair and amusements as my mama didnt have the money to spend

Surely seaburn camp is the field named seaburn camp aye?
Always used to refer to that part of the beach as the camp.
Might have been to do with the buses, when arranging to meet people in the days before mobiles you had to be quite specific.
From the south side there were different buses that ran to Seaburn and Seaburn Camp.

What are those three huts on Roker beach, just as you come out of the park?

Been down there this afternoon, glorious, loads of people about, class 4.5 mile done.
