Thats 'The Ducket' , the cage seperates the home and away fans on a normal match day.

Did you go up for the Celtic vs Sunderland game in the 80s , it was a Benefit game for Ian Cashmore , a Berwick player who had to retire young through injury? , I still have the programme upstairs for that one. That might have been the last time Celtic played at Sheilfield Park.

PS , there are a few links between Berwick Rangers and Sunderland , firstly , the main stand has seats from the old Main Stand of Roker Park fitted , on of the main chants is 'Wise men say' , albeit with the Sunderland part replaced with 'The Dream Team' and everyone up here apart from Mags , spell Ha'way with an 'a' not an 'o'.

It did have when I was going to the Speedway regularly about 2004 05 , not sure about now - as always though , theres better quality beer to be had in the town as opposed to the ground - Barrels at the Berwick end of the Old Bridge is my reccomendation if you like a good pint.

I was there for the recent pre-season friendly between Berwick and our stiffs and the bar outside was called the Amber and Black bar I think.

Proper old fashioned little ground with the biggest slope from one end to the other I have seen in a long time. It's even more pronounced than Sid James Park.

Its The Black and Gold mate , used to be a CIU club that sold Fed beer , now its just a normal pub.
