dont know what the capacity is at berwick but i wonder if it will get shifted, like in england, due to crowd safety, to glasgow and it will make berwick a packet, to keep them going for a few years

Capacity of just over 4000 at Shielfield. It wouldn't suprise me if they switched it but it'd be a shame in some ways...

i agree. hopefully they will get sky money for televising the game and its held at berwicks ground

Packetish mate. There would not be 20,000 at Parkheed for that.
fair point but if they could make say £50 grand, that will be like a lottery win for them

celtic should forfeit their share and give it to berwick, if the game was shifted

didnt rangers play berwick a few years ago at shieldfield in the scottish cup so it might not get moved.

berwick v celtic game will deffo be shifted to edinburgh.pity like, wouldnt mind a trip to berwick.

really? I don't think it will. There's plenty of examples of big(ish) clubs going to smaller clubs in the cup. Blackburn went to Spartans for example. I know Blackburn aren't a massive club but they're a solid premier league side. Probably wrong like. Knowing the SFA, they will change it and play the game in front of 2,500 at a neutral venue in Inverness.

Blackburn are a bigger club than the old firm imo

i have been to berwick, loads of times but have never seen the ground.

whereabouts is it in berwick?

Ok fair enough, Celtic are probably a bigger club than Blackburn but Rangers? Haway?

i agree. mickey mouse team rangers. kenny miller. centre forward of the worst team in premier league history, yet top scorer for rangers

The ground is in Tweedmouth , if you come up the Main St in Tweedmouth from Berwick , walk past ASDA then cross over where the Chip Shop is (Robert Smiths) , walk up Sheilfield Terrace and you cant miss it. Thers usually plenty of other fans walking over from the towns pubs when theres a big game on so just follow them

Ha'way the 'Dream Team' btw.

Did you go up for the Celtic vs Sunderland game in the 80s , it was a Benefit game for Ian Cashmore , a Berwick player who had to retire young through injury? , I still have the programme upstairs for that one. That might have been the last time Celtic played at Sheilfield Park.

PS , there are a few links between Berwick Rangers and Sunderland , firstly , the main stand has seats from the old Main Stand of Roker Park fitted , on of the main chants is 'Wise men say' , albeit with the Sunderland part replaced with 'The Dream Team' and everyone up here apart from Mags , spell Ha'way with an 'a' not an 'o'.
