Was something different mate.. she bought it for Christmas , was much better than the usual socks and duds.

I've made scotch eggs before but not even close to the standard we made and tasted tonight.. each to their own tho...

Used to get welsh eggs in fenwicks delicatessen, it was covered with mustard mash instead of sausage meat I think

Oh he is....everyday brings a new piece of idiocracy. Yesterdays episode was microwaving a tin of beans, to quote "it looked like there was a welder in the micro wave!"

I thought the same thing marra, or they originally came from Scotland. Apparently the scotch comes from an old word which meant " to wrap" according to the scotch egg guru of west pelton.. He also said that although fortnam and masons claim the invention the scotch egg actually originated in India... something kofte apparently.

Very tempted to make some this weekend now.

Used to love the deep fried cheese and breadcrumb eggs that the school used to do. Those were the days; before all of that turkey twislers shite, fat & cholesterol kept me going for years!
