Scotch eggs



He’s not as thick as you think - the scotch referred originally to scotch beef which was used to surround the egg

I thought the same thing marra, or they originally came from Scotland. Apparently the scotch comes from an old word which meant " to wrap" according to the scotch egg guru of west pelton.. He also said that although fortnam and masons claim the invention the scotch egg actually originated in India... something kofte apparently.

Very tempted to make some this weekend now.

Get it done marra, love a scotch egg me.
