Scotch eggs



Drop the egg in boiling water for 2 mins 30 secs, then into iced water. It will be firm enough to peel, but the yolk still runny. It will stay runny even after deep frying.
Panko breadcrumbs for added lusherooniness.
 
Mrs g bought me a scotch egg making class for Christmas. Went tonight , little company in west pelton, was only £26 for the two of us... was really good, pick your own recipes etc..

We made

Haggis , black pudding & onion
Chorizo, cheese, onion & pepper
Chilli, jalapeño, garlic & herbs
Tikka masala, onion & mushroom

Had a taste of a few different recipes made by the owner, all really nice..

Don't know if I can mention the name of the company but the experience and the end product were " top notch"

Can’t believe this hasn’t been asked yet but have you sold the film rights yet?
 
Used to love the deep fried cheese and breadcrumb eggs that the school used to do. Those were the days; before all of that turkey twislers shite, fat & cholesterol kept me going for years!
