Scholes, Gerrard or Lampard

Gerrard fluked a Champions League, loved pumping 60 yard passes into touch and was incredibly selfish.

Henderson is going to retain the CL and win them their first title in 30 years. Is also considered Liverpool’s most important player by their most successful manager in 3 decades.

he’s leagues ahead.
Alreet Jordan mate?

All three were class players, amongst the best midfielders ever to play for England and in the PL. Paul Scholes is the best English midfielder I have ever seen play.

Scholes, totally different players mind but Paul had the best footy brain. Gerrard for leadership and energy and Lampard for his economy and goalscoring.

Scholes.

Can't believe he was moved out wide with England. What a waste at international football.

That Liverpool team without Alonso are nothing. As soon as Alonso left Gerrard's form suffered.

Also Gerrard was a selfish player. Are Giggs and Beckham as effective with Gerrard I don't think so.

Gerrard was obviously top class but he was a typical British midfielder just pure power he wasn't a very intelligent footballer.

People look at Scholes stats and think he's overrated. How many times did he lay on goals via Beckham and Giggs though?

Gerrard looked shit for England and that's because he didn't have an Alonso to make him look good.
What a load of fuckin bollocks

Scholes was undoubtedly class however he is getting better the longer he's retired. Just my opinion but Gerrard was the best of a very good trio

All 3 were fantastic footballers with different strengths.
If I had to pick one it would be Scholes, but overall there’s nothing in it.

Scholes for me was the best footballer, but if you wanted to win a game and Gerrard was up for it he could drag your team through as an individual, so Gerrard for me even with his hollywood 60 yard passes into touch. Both dirty bastards mind. Lampard a very respectable third.

Yes and it hardly helps your cause does it?!

Gerrard played with the added burden of being team captain and still had enough confidence to be Liverpool's first choice penalty taker.

I can't ever remember Scholes ever being given the captain's armband or taking a penalty for United - and notably he didn't step up to take a shoot-out penalty for England v Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.

If he wasn't strong enough or inspiring enough to be team captain and wouldn't back himself to take a penalty then how can he be said to be a better player than Gerrard?

Moreover, Gerrard would have died for his country whereas the ginger sulk turned his back on England by retiring at 30 because Sven preferred Gerrard and Lampard in centre midfield and pushed him out to wide left. He doubled up on this by then refusing to play for his country again when Maclaren and then Capello asked him to reconsider.

So Ginola with 3 goals and one assist deserved player of the year did he in a season when Beckham finished runner up to Rivaldo for the Balon dor 😂

So Gerrard's better cos he takes pens 😂😂

Scholes.

Can't believe he was moved out wide with England. What a waste at international football.
Ahead of Euro 2004, there was huge pressure, from fans and the media, on Sven to drop Scholes. He'd gone 3 years without a goal for England and Gerrard and Lampard were earning their places. Both Gerrard and Scholes played lots of matches in unfamilar positions, with Gerrard often asked to be a more defensive player and Scholes moved on the left of a diamond. Gerrard was also utilised on the left, as at that time England had a shortage of talent on that side of midfield. Lampard played the majority of his England career in his favoured position, as he couldn't adapt to the other roles as easily as the other two.
