I'm not judging anyone but I saw how the strike affected a mining community.

I personally wouldn't have a problem if someone wanted to work, I probably would want to also.

But I can see why those who were on strike continually will have a different opinion.
I know of people who went back,they where getting chased out of villages for years after. It wasn't them in the wrong they where about to lose everything. Thatcher annihilated scargill in this war and she hurt thousands of people doing so. She showed no remorse and that is why people still think Arthur was sound as a pound living in his million quid flat paid for by the union. I believe he had his heart in the right place but he was risking nowt compared to the average miner.

Striking was never going to be the answer though. Thatcher was strong willed and Scargill thought he would bring the country to its knees

If he had held off til October when it was by historical reports apparent we where in for a shit winter he might of had a chance of victory. He did at the wrong time against a cold hearted callus bitch, who quite frankly would rather of Seen the country wither away than admit defeat
