Sausage meat stuffing and Sausage in bacon



Made mine today.
Good quality sausage meat (85%) pork. 400g
I then make some Paxo sage and onion and mix it in. Abt 400g
Chestnuts 150g
Grate an apple and a carrot. A dash of mace. Add a splash of olive oil.

I made it into balls and have cooked them already. Just to re-heat tomorrow

Cook pigs in blanks things at the same time to reheat tomorrow.

Gravy made anarl. Just need turkey juices added
 
When does everyone else do theirs? make tonight and fridge up ready or do them fresh in the morning?

Mrs Tomma just asked me if I was cooking the pigs in blankets tonight to fridge up. I nearly left her.
Got to be done on the day, it's one of my favourite Christmas morning 'get away from the kids and their newly opened presents post-apocalyptic mayhem' activities.

Pretty much my recipe minus the apple and carrot.
Haven't cooked mine yet either.....going to shove it all in the bird tomorrow :eek:
