They need to explore the complex character of paddy mayne. It’s a great story, the true ones usually are. Second series into Sicily and Italy itself I hope. The mad bastards.
Think Paddy died the year my mam was born. Reputation on the Lions tours of fighting dockers and policeman. They need to explore the complex character of paddy mayne.
They won’t. It’s not prime time viewing.
The acting is awful especially Dominic West.
It's more like a comedy.
That French woman spy is so badly cast and her character is a joke.
The scenes where they are blowing up planes and simply placing the bombs on top the wings in plain sight and in the position where they'd do least damage
I'm trying to stick with it as it must get better. Mustn't it ?![]()
Are they all on iplayer?
Gracie is a strange bedfellow for AC/DC and Sabbath![]()
TV Soundtracks - SAS Rogue Heroes - Raucous tunes from new BBC drama SAS Rogue Heroes - BBC Sounds
An hour of rock and punk taken from the soundtrack to SAS Rogue Heroes.www.bbc.co.uk
There you go
Found the first one pretty dull and gave up , maybe worth going backFirst two were fairly dull but thought it was great after that.
I don’t know many other SAS books (only read Rogue Heroes), but everything I’ve read by Ben Mcintyre has been absolutely superb. Agent Zigzag is up there with Rogue Heroes in terms of being incredible, highly recommend it. Currently reading his latest one about Colditz which is also great so farThink I will read the book again on the back of this.
I mean if you just pause for a second and think about it all, it is absolutely mental and we are the genuine leaders in the field and the thing is the envy of the world.
Is there another book that people would recommend?
Is the documentary on iPlayer mateGets better from 3rd. Say agsin worth watching the 3 part doc with interviews of the real characters. Some boys.
My memory of the book made me think they toned his character down haha. Been a while since I read it though and I tend to forget/misremember thingsEnjoyable TV, kind of preferred watching documentaries on the subject than this. Not read the book, but does Paddy come across as mental like in the series? Just seemed OTT for some of it, to the point of a little annoying. I've not seen Peaky Blinders, but some of this came across "Guy Ritchie" type viewing.
The documentary is superb. I remember thinking, when I watched it, that it would make a great filum/TV series.Gets better from 3rd. Say agsin worth watching the 3 part doc with interviews of the real characters. Some boys.
You got a link? Even just to the proper title? The only I can see Googling is a recent Afghanistan documentaryYeah was on bbc4
