Not convinced it's a risk we can afford to take now.Took a similar risk on Mvilla ( albeit on loan )
May i be excused for my lack of knowledge then?Ah well. As good a reason as any I suppose![]()
I live in Australia and I haven't heard of him either.Ah well. As good a reason as any I suppose![]()
That's mvila position and catts is capable of playing that role to. It's quite literally the last position we need to strengthen. We need lads who can play further up the field as catts can't and I'm not sure how effective mvila will be further forward either. We need one. M'villa is wasted sitting deep and Catts isn't up to playing that role alone.
Yes when he's sat deep with very little pressure on him. Catts can do that as he's shown but playing higher up the pitch when it's more congested it's a different ball game. We need lads who are comfortable with the ball at their feet.aye, but at least "he can" pass a ball from A to B
Spurs fans used to laugh at him.
M'villa has a cracking passing range and I'm confident he can play further forward. The problem we have is he is also good at taking preasure of the defence. I would rather add more muscle than the fabled creativity. That's mvila position and catts is capable of playing that role to. It's quite literally the last position we need to strengthen. I think Catt's day has finally come home to roost after his display the other night.....He was caught in possession or had the ball taken off him from Poll players coming in from behind him on no less than 12 occasion. He was caught in possession five times during play where he gave the ball away cheaply or straight to the opposition, not counting the number of unsuccessful passes he made.. The lad from Spurs/QPR would, imo, could possibly do a better job if we don't get a top player in.Yes when he's sat deep with very little pressure on him. Mvila may do ok further forward but he has probably been our best player this season playing a holding role so I see no reason to fix what isn't broke. We have what you could all 'muscle' in ola and Rodwell and they have been pretty dismal. What we need is someone like a Ki who can find space in amongst the crowded centre of park and keep play ticking over. Cattermole is far too slow in possession to do anything other than sit in.M'villa has a cracking passing range and I'm confident he can play further forward. I'm not sure just how much of an Improvenent on catts that sandro will be to be honest mate. I agree 100% though on his display other night and it showed that the only place he can be affective is sitting in front of back 4. I've been astonished at how many on here have been saying he had a good game against Liverpool. Shows just how subjective football can be.I think Catt's day has finally come home to roost after his display the other night.....He was caught in possession or had the ball taken off him from Poll players coming in from behind him on no less than 12 occasion. Except for the fact that recently, when Catts has been out we have shown that there isn't enough depth in that position. What happens if he, or M'Vila are injured or suspended between now and the end of the season? We could chuck Ola or Rodders in to sort things out, I suppose. That's mvila position and catts is capable of playing that role to. It's quite literally the last position we need to strengthen. Got to be kiddingNever heard of him to be honest
Nah... the amount of times Liverpools midfiled robbed the ball off of ours by coming in from behind on the side to snap the ball away, not just from Catts but M'vila, Rodwell, Borini and Johnson was, well frankly amateurish. If ever there was a time to have a go at the dippers it was Wednesday night. The other thing that was missing was any form of a challenge from any of our players , to the opposition, who I've been saying for seasons now are weak willed.I'm not sure just how much of an Improvenent on catts that sandro will be to be honest mate. We don't have a bottomless pit of money though and having two players for one position is enough. As I said it's quite literally the last position we need to be looking at.Except for the fact that recently, when Catts has been out we have shown that there isn't enough depth in that position. What happens if he, or M'Vila are injured or suspended between now and the end of the season? We could chuck Ola or Rodders in to sort things out, I suppose.
I understand that there are often positions that the majority of us would like to see strengthened first; however, if a player is available who improves the squad and we get rid of a someone who's proven to be inadequate then surely we should go for it. Forget the whole 'two coming in' - it was just bollocks as they all say.
Again I totally agree. Liverpool pressed and harried us all night and not one of our players looked capable when receiving ball under pressure. It's also frightening just how static we are when in possession as well. No movement whatsoever other than Defoe who's movement is top drawer.Nah... the amount of times Liverpools midfiled robbed the ball off of ours by coming in from behind on the side to snap the ball away, not just from Catts but M'vila, Rodwell, Borini and Johnson was, well frankly amateurish.
