No idea to be honest, but judging by the recruitment so far this summer I would expect him to leave.

Love to see him go to you lot, but as has already been mentioned L1 may be a bit too far back for him.
It will be the wages that will be the sticking point. He would almost be guaranteed first team football and the facilities and stadium at Sunderland are premier league standard. Add on to that the vision of the new owners and a (potentially very talented ) attack minded manager in Jack Ross then it becomes an exciting prospect for fringe players at premier league clubs looking to get games.

Need to be convincing promotion bonuses.

He said appearance bonuses didn't he? I wouldn't be surprised to see promotion bonuses paid to be honest- that's rewarding achievement rather than paying you twice for doing your job.

Don't be silly doing things like listening to what the owner is saying. Don't you know you're supposed to not bother listening properly and repeat the same old crap constantly. If you're not sure how see 'transfer budget teams will be jealous of'

Might get a slight wage increase on promotion but no bonus as Stewart Donald has said players won't get bonuses.
I believe SD said no bonus for playing did not mention all of the other bonuses players get
Sorry just read other response saying same as me

I don't think we will spend a f***ing penny now IMO
Bursting for a slash, The Rat? Costs about 30p a leak in the Lakes these days.

Some decent posts from you the day. Interesting you said you're on your day off. Maybe work pressure gets you into a negative frame of mind? Something to ponder? Anyway, try to keep positive. It's not always easy but it's good all round.

I don't really speak that much to him anymore, but he wanted to come when we were interested in him before he went to West Ham a few years ago. Think Newcastle were interested at some point a few years ago too. Probably wouldn't come out of spite knowing I'm a Sunderland fan

I know football is about earning money and he'd obviously get paid more at reading or QPR but the probability is that they are going to be bottom half championship sides at best, where as we should be going for promotion. We have bigger stadium, more fans etc and id be surprised if they could match on other facilities. Other than for being close to London and higher standard of football we should be a decent pull.

That’s the theory most of us have spouted for years.... unfortunately it’s very often not the reality. Others don’t necessarily see us as we see us, baffling though it is!
