I can see that too. From owning and working for a few large business's before i retired, two with turnovers of £100m plus and my own companies, all of his actions since he purchased the club dictate just how incompetent he is and that he had insufficient capital and operational funding to sustain his investment. There stands the cost cutting. Some may say that the trimming of the budget had to be done, i agree, but Not without a plan. most of his actions have been utterly ridiculous save for the seat renewal. i'm still waiting for the lift repairs to be announced and the upgraded sound system we were told about from the "Loan" takeover. He gambled on promotion in his first year but did not supply the finances to bring in players that would have almost guaranteed this. Since then all i have witnessed is a lack of leadership and a downward spiral that can be seen ,as you say around the stadium, academy and the club in general. The club shop being closed ,for me, is criminal at the start of a new season.. The loss of the season ticket revenue due in the main to Covid but also supporters who could see right through Donald, will have increased the pressure on him tenfold and ripped his business plan to shreds.. I've posted many times before that these owners do not have a pot to piss in otherwise we would not be witnessing the rapid decline of the club.
How many people actually go out of their way to go to the club shop? It probably only turns a profit on matchdays. More and more people shop online these days, especially during lockdown. Everything you want to buy is available from the website. They wont be missing out on that many sales imo all while keeping down the costs of running a store that probably doesnt get much footfall outside of matchdays.

Great post!

He doesnt want to be here no but he also wants to make money. If he wanted out, like Short or Murray, he'd accept he'd made mistakes and write off some of the debt he'd accrued. He's only put 12m or so into this £37m he's asking for. He can afford to wait for his price a little longer

It sounding more and more like his price is about to be what FPP are prepared to pay imo. They have him over a barrel and both SD and FPP know it

I know we've been through this before so no interest in going back and forth but thats on the presumption anyone from FPP wants to buy us. If its FPP I'll be amazed. Last I heard they are no longer interested. Happy to be wrong but I trust the people I speak to.

Untill that loan is repaid they always have a huge interest in what happens to Sunderland. Everyone is saying different things but 3 people have told me across this board and the other that Furhmans representatives from London were here last week and are back again this Friday. We all hope they are right

He does not want to be here. He has moved back to Oxford fulltime has admitted he hates being here and has left the day to day running of the club to Rodwell, Jones and Sloanes. Everything he has done and said suggests he has zero interest in hanging around much longer. Than add to that the probably hundreds of thousands of pounds Covid will of cost him across all of his buisness's

totally disagree, his ego is telling him he can do this. A few good results and he will slip back to Sunderland when the heat is off somewhat. In my opinion he does not want to sell at all

They've undoubtedly got an interest in the loan, no disagreement there, thats very different to wanting to actually purchase and run the club as a going concern

did you know that Short was selling to these muppets before the deal was done? did anyone know? says it all mate, Chas and Stewy have sent out smokescreens to mix everything up to look like they are in talks with buyers which we are obviously not....

They would not of made so many changes to the charge sheet of the loan to make it much easier for them to own the club if they did not want it.

Have you ever done something to make it easier to own something you dont want? Cause i know i aint

So do they want to own Southampton and Derby too (Yes I know its MSD not FPP but its the same people and same rules)? They can only own one, they can't want to own all three.

12,000 people just renewed their season tickets, we'll have just received our first payments from our new kit manufacturers and sponsors and we'll still be due TV money from the league. The amount of season card renewals alone gives him a bit of breathing room. Not denying its a tough situation and is going to get a lot worse but I dont think its as desperate as some are making out.
I agree and the wage cap means any new signings get paid peanuts.

I've acknowledged that in my post. He was still part of the group of people who set the same thing up with two other clubs while at MSD. Anyway like I said, hopefully you and the 606ers are right, not interested in going back and forth.

I dont think it matters what he did or did not do with MSD. FPP is a total seperate entity. We all want the same thing so lets hope a week today its done

No £5 delivery fee though ;)

The club shop is now allowed to open like every other shop as long as Government Covid guidelines are followed but it remains shut.. A source of income for the club..
Do you think he keeps it closed so the staff remain on furlough for as long as possible as he is that skint?

If so he must sell the club ASAP and take a significant hit.. Which his own inept actions have caused.
What other Reason? I believe staff are allowed to return to some work for their employer even on Furlough s oyour second part about being Skint may be nearer the truth or they simply cannot afford to buy the stock.

I think you'd be surprised.. Every time I've been or the lad, there has always been a , not huge, stream of people going in.
