If I'm being positive I'd say that SD probably doesn't want to keep losing money on the club and that's likely with lack of sales/games about to start. I can see why he'd want out.

If I'm being negative then stringing us along with talk of a takeover in process until the season starts is a good way to justify not spending much.

Being so close to the start of the season they may choose to give him a crack at it. We can't really afford to hold off on signings, and if he's picking them he might as well be given a chance to use them.

Unless we can wrap a takeover up in the next week or so then the timeline isn't really great for an immediate sacking/appointment.
