Its a really short term and narrow minded view you have there. Your right in that the majority only watch the premier league but we already have an identity in the US from STID. Surely the time to capitalise on that is now so when we do get back to the big time we have a base to grow from

How exactly are we going to capitalise on that? Aye, some of them may have watched the documentary but they aren't going out buying shirts for a league 1 club man. It looks like STID won't get a season 3 as well so that's dead in the water.

It's just wishful thinking at the minute.

A club like ours isn't going to make fortunes in hospitality which is how clubs like Fulham and west ham do it, they sell tickets as part of a weekend in london experience, it's embarrassing if you ask me, football has grown too big and "tourists" should stick to Bucky palace.

But since the cats now out of the bag we have to capitalise on the Netflix series and with that still reasonably fresh in people's minds we need to invest to get back to the premier League and potentially have a Sunderland till I die feature over the next couple of seasons which shows that, it doesn't even need to be behind the scenes, just bring an end to the series with us retiring to the prem.

Then we can exploit that, particularly in America, I men's for fuck sake we play in red and white and the us and south America is full of sports fans who love an underdog. We should be a marketers dream yet instead we're pissing about masquerading as a league one club.

In my opinion they haven't leveraged the huge marketing potential Netflix represents for the club. If I was involved, I'd be pitching the idea of a new series to potential owners - Sunderland 'Til I Die - season 3 (and onwards) and how new ownership and success at the club could be potentially worth billions of dollars in marketing. It's there to be written/lived. All it takes is investment. Wouldn't you want to be the knight in shining armour who rides into town if you were rich enough to do it?

It was on the Roker Report podcast last night. Also interesting Magnus over the road has said he will announce his source when its announced as the person is leaving the club. Hopefully that source is Fox
I hope for the sake of whoever the source might be that s/he is not named. That person obviously owed a duty of confidentiality to SAFC while employed there and they could still be sued by the former employer were it to be discovered that they had disregarded that duty when they were in post.

Further it is not unusual to be asked to sign a legally binding non disclosure agreement before parting company with an employer on condition of receiving an agreed "compensatory financial handshake". If that is true in this case you can see how anyone who is named so soon after leaving as having leaked confidential information might be put in a very difficult position.

Assuming that such a source exits at all it would be rather treacherous of this Magnus to unmask them just for the sake of adding to his own credibility

Don't know mate always chatter re transfers so we will see. I hope PP gets a chance, now the other lads have gone he may make a decent fist of it re incomings.

We live in hope eh?

That we do mate. I just wish we'd sign an exciting player to give us some hope. I'm unsure what O'Brien is like, we're in desperate need of more quality throughout the team and although Matthews might be a necessary signing to plug a gap, again, it doesn't get the pulse racing.
Did much happen last time we tried it?

I found it embarrassing at the time. What could DC United have possibly learned from the staff managing our club at the time? We were hemorrhaging money.

Right, I know, I was making a point, so why are they taking the whole FPP amount against the buyer’s price, as how much the buyer already has in the club? Surely only part of it is Fuhrman’s in that scenario - the other two would want their portions back if GF was going alone?

This is true and I nearly added it on top my earlier post but didn't because people get arsey if you do more than 2 paragraphs sometimes :D (and it makes it more complex and I reckon we've all had enough of the what if's by now!)

Basically Furhman would either have to buy full control of FPP LLC for a net $8m or buy Madrox/SAFC and pay FPP LLC $12m, but he would receive $4m of that himself, so again a net $8m.

It would likely just be whatever was most advantageous in terms of tax, which I would imagine is the former, but there are a few different ways of doing that one. Furhman himself has $4m loaned to us, so that's the only money he wouldn't have to put in as part of a takeover he did on his own.

Our old crest is red, white and blue.

Aswell as our home kit being red and white, our favourite/traditional away kit is blue.
Why don't we have red and red striped shirts and blue shorts with white stars on.
We could also have cheerleaders at half time with their pom poms dancing about,
They could have really tight hot pants on that show off their camels toe, tits nearly popping out their squimpy tops.
I know this makes me sound like a total perv but I am and I'd much prefer that for half time entertainment that watching an overweight 50 year old running around the pitch with his spotty teenage son trying to see who can get to the ball first

We should just start hoyin the ball about as well instead of kicking it, much easier for Wyke to carry it into the net the big fucker.
