If the Con sticks to the original asking price we’ll never be sold. We are a completely different club to what he bought. He bought a club with parachute payments, squad value, functioning youth set up, 24,000 or so season ticket holders, fan optimism that we were embarking on some new dawn, staff, STID contract, higher sponsorship and kit revenues. He would currently leave the club with no parachute payments, a skeleton squad with little to no value, a manager nobody wants, a decimated academy which has been ransacked and pillaged for his own financial gain, half the amount of season card holders and probably less than half of the hospitality “clients”, fan feeling at its lowest ever ebb in the clubs history, staff all laid off or on furlough, a shite kit with a very poor sponsorship and kit deal compared to before and a team that’s finished in its two lowest ever positions. This will be Stew’s legacy. Yet the little cretin thinks he’s done a good job and that he should get his asking price because he’s cut some of the costs and worse still he’s foolish enough to think that successful businessmen will over pay for this asset. They didn’t get rich by overpaying for distressed assets. I hope they squeeze him for every penny and football never sees or hears from him again. An abject failure. A disgrace. A chancer and a charlatan. Destroyed us for chance of the quick flip. Stuck our entire future on red and cries for his money back when black spun in. Fuck him!

Am not reading all that pal

Have said this for years. Why we dont play on the obvious historical US links is mental. Its our USP to one of the biggest potential markets in the world. We all know how patriotic the americans are and we play in red and white stripes and have original Washington within our local authority area. I think we are the only UK city to be twinned with Washington DC. We are in a unique position to market our club as the 'American club' in the Premier League.
I was expecting this to happen when Short took over, but it just never materialised. ‘Soccer’ is becoming quite big in the states now, we really need to make a push to become the plucky underdog second team of supporters in America.

Re the loan to FPP.
If I am correct, FPP is/was the 3 individual members of that company. Again, if as been hinted/reported it is only the one individual who is showing an interest in “us” I wonder if that creates any complications with regard to how the FPP loan is apportioned/settled, or used in terms of share exchange in lieu of repayment during negotiations?

Or possibly the loan remains in place and Furhman is making up the difference personally at this stage.
Who knows, but it would fit with the rumours of P & P along with MD getting involved at a later stage.

Oh shit I've done it now. I'm starting to get hooked again, oh well didn't want to do any work...

Just thought of this as well, the origins of another famous american family we can lay claim to. The americans would lap this stuff up.

Early Origins of the Hilton family
The surname Hilton was first found in Durham, now in the area of Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England where one of the first records of the name was Robert Hylton, 1st Baron Hylton (d. 1322.) His son, Alexander, was called to Parliament in 1332 and 1335. This first line of Barons Hylton continued for 424 years ending with John Hylton, the 18th Baron Hylton (1699-1746.)

Our old crest is red, white and blue.

Aswell as our home kit being red and white, our favourite/traditional away kit is blue.

So we’ve already ascertained that the Home Bargains bloke is one of Storey’s backers, does this mean Paris Hilton is one of the others? Just 2 more to identify!

Theres loads of links, glaringly obvious. The marketing dept have shown themselves to be grossly incompetent not utilising them. You couldnt make them up to fit better.
