We are worse in some ways and not in others, apart from current economic climate. So you reckon less than 15m reasonable for SAFC?

Pretty sure it cost more than 15m but let's run with that.
£15m for the shares (actually £12.7m after adjustments) and £25m to settle the SBC debt.

Theres really not much evidence of improvement. Even on the financial side - the only possible area where a case could be made - he’s only achieved anything by hacking away indiscriminately. He’s mortally wounded the patient in the process - and we still lose money. He’s an absolute disaster and if by some miracle he gets the chance to get out even, he should thank his lucky stars and disappear before buyers come to their senses.

Stupid buying bastards, should have listened to the cabbage on the SMB.

I said he was probabley the most inconvenient example.

I'm not really disputing he paid his way, just looking at it differently.

The biggest point of staying in the premiership is the money. But when you're losing 30m per season and have been for some time that no longer provides a great incentive.

Wages and signing on cost us north of ten million. Staying in the prem cost us 30m plus per season.

The manner in which he behaved and performances were fantastic, his value to the football club for reasons beyond that, was not.
So he paid his way but his value to the club beyond his behaviour and performances was lacking?

I think you can overthink things. Yes he was on good money, but in his case I think he was tremendous value. Especially bearing in mind he replaced someone who was a huge failure.

He was bought to score goals. He did that. And scored goals in massive games.

Anyhow, are we minted yet?

We’re worth no more than the £15m Donald paid two years ago. He’s made us worse so how on earth can we be?

Imo, we're not worth much less (if any) than the £37m he's asking for.

Not aiming this at you in particular, but the amount of people that claim we're the club that any businessman interested in football should invest in, as we're a a brilliant investment whilst we're in League One, but then go on to say his asking price is too much and 'who would pay that' is ridiculous.

We're either a steal, or we're too expensive. We can't be both.

Of course we can. We could "potentially" be a great investment but we are a club who do not have what he bought for a lot less - two years of parachute money, 25,000 season ticket holders, the best u15side in the country/Europe

What do you reckon then? 5m? Great ground, huge crowds and worth 200 to 300m if and when we get to premier. I don't know the figure but 35m does not seem high.
I don't see us as having massive potential really. If we get in the PL big crowds don't count for much, especially as we can't charge as much for tickets as the southern teams. The likes of West Ham for example get bigger gates and charge twice as much for a ticket. I don't doubt their hospitality will be much more lucrative too. The last time we were up there we were one of the lowest earners. I'm sure the commercial side could be improved upon and if we weren't so dull to watch, we might get a bit more TV money, but even so if we can't even compete with West Ham financially, how high can we go realistically ?

An investor could buy any club in the Championship and do the same but a year quicker.

Just being in the PL with all that tv money coming in will make a club worth over £100m minimum. And given that a smartly ran SAFC should be able to compete for promotion from the Championship without too much investment, of course we're a great opportunity.

Mind, there are easier ways to make money than doing it owning a football club.

The past couple of pages have been how much $$ FPP have in the club to offset against the price and FPP being the buying party. Have we officially gone back to it being FPP again rather than Fuhrman going it alone as it was for most of the rumors?

To you both.
Isnt Donald losing money hand over foot each month, Donald banked on us being in the championship by now.
He has to cut his losses somewhere along the line.

As he continues to lose money its cutting into his potential profit (parachute payments) He will have a figure in mind where he might just say, fuck it, I need to stop being greedy here and get out with a smaller profit, thats what the negotiators will be doing, trying to see what his cut off point is. The longer it goes on, the more his potential profit falls

It’s not FPP. Think people are using it as shorthand for the Fuhrman rumour over the road

Last time us n Fulham were up there together our earnings were similar. Fulham ffs.

I thought West Hams ST prices were supposed to be really cheap so they could fill the stadium? That was their stated business model and one of the reasons Leyton Orient were so pissed off?

I think people are getting confused here about the potential price benefit for FPP/Furhman.

If FPP wipe their debt when buying Madrox, they've still paid it towards our club.

I make it as around £18-19m that Madrox have put in, $12m owed back to FPP and £8-9m owed back to the club from the original deal.

If FPP/Furhman buy us, their minimum purchase price for Donald will be £18-19m + $12m so somewhere around £27-28m depending on how they've agreed the exchange rate.

Ultimately that's the same as anyone else buying us.

So essentially theye've paid a deposit and have a balance to pay?
