By the way, the signing heralded by your repulsive owners is possibly going to sign for the manager who had nothing to do with his signing?

Am confused.
seems that way

The bit about Sam not wanting him was a direct quote from Sakho by the way not paper talk

I realise this is easier said than done..

But if we could go all out for Sakho, Ayew, M'Vila, we would pretty much sorted.

Obviously there other issues within squad, but they would be 3 big players, both physically, mentally, quality and financially wise, and I think it would guarantee us to be safe already

Lot of theory goes into what we need and when, but you can see why Big Sam wants the first 2, they score goals in this league. I'd pay more than what they are worth and offer them more money.

Really think this year is so important just to get 2 key men in like that.

Whether it will happens we will see.

Would be very happy with this and a right back.

Here you go, Sakho's own words

“But then the deal began to fall through as I think the coach was having doubts and I was resigned to returning to France.

“Fortunately for me, Mr Sullivan stepped in and said he would be signing me and on a permanent deal. It was the chance I needed.

I’m just glad Mr Sullivan put his trust in me.”

Could read it two ways, doubts about the player, OR, doubts about the deal actually going through?

Would point out that his transfer request has come as he wants guaranteed first team football

no it was about the player, the deal was done and Sam tried to pull the plug and sign Wickham for double the money

obviously having managed hm for a year Sam realises he got that wrong

He'd get that here

We could have put him right on Wickham.

Wonder if we're still interested in Ayew?

Can he not play in a number 10 role? That would be class for us.

Defoe
Ayew - Sakho - Khazri
M'Vila - Kirchoff

No or atleast I've not seen him do it he's more a finisher running in behind type, fairly physical too

I wonder how much it really is playing up, I have a feeling there is also scope to stay home and force the move through. Especially now you guys seem to have progressed in striker targets.
possibly, Carlos Bacca seems to be moving closer, though I think it'll still not happen till we sign at least a couple of strikers and Sullivan on holiday so will be weeks rather than days I think

Carlos Bacca to West Ham: Hammers lead Atletico Madrid in race for £26m striker

Carlos Bacca today emerged as West Ham’s top target as manager Slaven Bilic looks to boost his strike force for next season.

AC Milan are prepared to part with the Colombia international after just one season at the San Siro as they look to ease financial problems but are asking for £26million.

West Ham look to be in pole position but Atletico Madrid are also interested in the 29-year-old, who has scored 13 goals in 22 internationals.

Bacca also netted 18 goals in 38 games for Milan last season to add to 34 in 72 matches in two seasons for Sevilla.

Bilic has confirmed that a new striker is his priority and while other targets have fallen away, Bacca has remained a realistic signing.
West Ham’s interest in Christian Benteke has cooled following the Liverpool striker’s wage demands while the financial package needed to sign Germany’s Mario Gomez from Fiorentina has also proved prohibitive.

However, the Hammers retain an interest in 22-year-old Boca Juniors striker Jonathan Callieri, who has been on loan at Brazilian club Sao Paulo.

West Ham favour a loan deal for Callieri, especially if they lose one or more of their strikers before the season kicks off.

Diafra Sakho remains unhappy and could join Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland for £12m while
Enner Valencia is wanted by Lazio.

Meanwhile, Manuel Lanzini will miss the start of the Premier League season following his inclusion in Argentina’s 18-man squad for the Olympic Games in Rio.
