Sainsbury’s

Prior to Sainsbury's it belonged to Morrisons. Morrisons did not trade there and used it as a warehouse following the acquisition of Safeway. Council forced Morrisons to quit using store as a warehouse and re-open as a retail outlet, because of the new store at Seaburn was to close they were forced to sell it. Prior to that the Shop was trading as Presto's , who's owner was Safeway, bizarrely the shop opposite was also call Presto's. You may ask why Morrisons were forced to sell? Finally prior to that the shop was called Hintons who were acquired by Prestos.
