C'mon now i know you're on a wind up. Nobody could post something as utterly stupid as that in all seriousness.......if its even 1% true that you believe that then youare the best argument for genetic screening i have ever seen

Stupid? You think that is stupid? Would his market value not affect his fee? Could Man City expect a fee in the area of £14m and expect to sell him when his market value alone is under £10m.

Could be a decent signing, but wouldn't play him on the left like - i'd play him on the right instead of Elmo. Pacey with an end product - exactly what some people on here have been crying out for. £4m isn't a bad price either.

He is right-footed though. Even I know that. Of course he would have to go on the right.

Bruce could be thinking of putting Elmo at right-back more regularly with Larsson and possibly SWP, if we actually go for it and make a daring bid for him, to play on the right.

Aww..you really care.;)

I am not just a plank, I am an utter f***ing plank.

But I really cannot take credit. After all Chelsea is AS successful as the club we signed two of our defenders from and Man City has quality to rival them. The club we signed the two defenders from isn't 'considerably' more successful than the clubs SWP have frequented.

:

There was no mention of quality in your post, just success. If you take the period of the prem league then Utd are considerably more succesful at a domestic and european level than Chelsea or City.

You spoil everything. All the time.

Would be a decent option on the left if thats where we played him. He loves cutting in and shooting and the pace of him and Rico would torment defenders on that side.

He would also be an excellent option on the right although i'd rather Larssons crossing was utilised there.

.

It is under 10m (in your opinion) for a reason. That is related to contract length, quality and age. The fact that his price has slipped only reflects his utility. Where you dragged 14m from is beyond me. Your post was utter drivel as per usual.....back on your meds princess

O would prefer us not to be in for SWP, he is as SEP on the wane, is too small and just not good enough. Hopefully his wage demands will be too high and will rule him out.

I think that is where Bruce will clearly play Larsson from posts I have read.

Frankly I don't see it as an 'option' for the right. Shaun IS a right-winger.

Bolton are stepping up their interest in him according to reports, so we might be in a fight for him.

Still not convinced he is what we need, and in spite of what a lot have already said, I dont overly rate him anyway - very quick but rarely gets his head up to see what he is doing.

Only reason he would go there is if they offer a lot more money, which I can't see, or for geographical reasons I would have thought. I'd say we're ahead of them on everything else.

He's a good player and would improve our attacking options, we can't go into a season having had months to strengthen with the likes of Vaughan or Elmo as first choice on either flank.

No, it's because that's where he's most effective. As SWP is on the wing.

Using your theory we could tell Ferdinand to play left wing and he'd be fine.

This lads comments (who you quoted) remind me of a time i played my cousin on fifa, about 5 years ago, he was only 11/12.. And he would look at his team line up (Chelsea), see a player in the starting 11, a striker, on level 79 or something, then see a Centre Back on the bench, who was level 80+, so he would put the CB up front, thinking he would play better there because his rating was better, not knowing his rating was for the CB position. Thick fuckers.

Would have been ecstatic 5 years ago, not so sure now. Don't think he's the same hungry player anymore but then again not seen him play for about 2 years.

Be a big signing for Bruce, if he hits form could be a brilliant signing but if (like I suspect) he's not so good anymore it could end up an expensive disaster. For 4 mil and steeds reported 50k a week I reckon it would be a good gamble..

He looked outstanding in the friendlies they played in Dublin, scored a couple of superb goals in preseason too. I'd be more worried over the length of contract we'd have to offer him and how effective he'll be a couple of years down the line.

Not suggesting his form in presaeson is conclusive as to how he'll perform in the season proper or up here but it's the most recent and useful indicator.

Aye I seen him against inter. He looked sharp. I remember when he went back to city and scored 2 against us. Ripped us apart that day. He does seem to disappear after a year or so of good form like. I wouldn't want to break the bank for him and im sure we won't but for a reasonable fee and wage I can see why Bruce would want him..

Aye, agree with all of that.

Didn't he play from the left that game? It was a proper stand out performance (not enough that I can remember for certain what side he played on though!).

Rather have Bellamy.

I do think that Bellamy is a cleverer player and will be less reliant on his pace as he gets older.

Wouldnt mind SWP as he is, contary to some people's delluded opinions on here a good player.

I would however opt for Joe Cole!
