Apparently a group of investors were shown around yesterday, anyone heard anything?

Apologies if SEB, quick scan of the main page and I couldn’t see anything.

I was in The Black Cats bar yesterday and I saw Donald walk through with a group of blokes like, no idea who they were though.

your right riffraff, he has always said they would sell if the price is right we had a talk in with Charlie before Xmas and he said that's it's just a business

No problem with that at all. As long as we don’t start or continue with all the ‘under their skin’ type bollocks.

Canny turnaround from wanting to build hotels a few weeks ago to fund the club to wanting to sell as soon as possible.

If true obviously.
he never said he wanted to build hotls..he used it as an example of something that had crossed his mind.

I thought the days of the Oligarchs in the game was on the Wane, Grumps. Largely due to their finances being gone over with a fine tooth comb by the authorities as Mr Abramovich is finding out;)
juans father in law is being investigated very heavily as we speak..

No problem with that at all. As long as we don’t start or continue with all the ‘under their skin’ type bollocks.
both things can be true...do you not think the club was under quinnys skin? he literally coined the phrase..didnt stop him selling up, tripling the debt and making five times his money though..

From Donald
There is always lots of interest in Sunderland but I can confirm I have never spoken to Chinese or American groups about selling/investing in Sunderland. If that ever changes I hope I will be able to explain & tell the fans first rather than the Sun newspaper!!⚪⚪
Few!!!
He's hardly going to spill the beans of any investment or takeover over twitter.

I wish people would stop tweeting the Donald about any little story that concerns us. It's pathetic and makes us look like a bunch of One Direction fans.

I listened to him on Total Sport a few weeks ago and he said something about they could afford to run the club in League One (this season) and also in the Premier League with all the money that comes with being there. But the bit in between was the tricky bit, if we get into The Championship. Next season is our last parachute payments and being in The Championship without them brings in barely any money.
£16m para money next year and budget to lose £5m...so it can be done,..question is how competiitve a team that is..

he isnt going to directly lie about it either though...would lose credibility in the business world..anbd having built at leats two large businesses he needs that..

He’s said himself he doesn’t have the finances.
indeed..he has said that many times..he could probably run us in the championship with a very good budget fpr one season...but of we didnt go up would be a problem..so he isnt stupid enough to do that without having a better plan..

All pointing to the fact of not having the finances
yep they never said they did..next!

I heard from someone not long ago that Stewart Donald does would not have the money to keep us in the Premier League if we went up to it. Would make sense to probably put someone in place for when promotion to the Premier League happens. Till then I think Stewart would do OK but I think even in the Championship you need now serious amounts of spending power and cash to back it up to compete. Every team looks incredibly tough. If I thought Luton Town, Barnsley and Pompey were big teams that is nothing compared to the likes of Norwich City and Derby County who would turn us over. So I think even a takeover now would be wise.
He would be fine in the Premier league, nearly every team makes a profit. It’s getting there that usually runs up big debts.
