what is this love in with kevin ball? someone tell me whats hes done??

For me, it's that he understands the club's culture, and he's been around the Prem enough to know what works.

Sometimes, an under the radar guy, who knows how the club ticks is a lot more effective than a flashy outsider.

How many games has he won when been in caretaker charge

I rest my case mluad

As I said above, some meat on those anti board bones please.
Already have

  • Succession of lower finishes in the table resulting in relegation
  • Series of woeful decisions, the most harmful being the appointments of di canio and de fanti
  • Failure to appoint a 'football person' to the board of directors
  • The inability to do anything with the academy (I don't even think I've ever heard them comment re youth development)
  • Mismanagement of the squad. Contracts, allowed to run down, general administration, allowing a culture of rotten eggs, misbehavior and possibly alcohol to manifest itself
  • Poor communication with supporters
  • Pink seats.
In short, no pun intended, they are completely culpable for the mess we find ourselves in today. If you wanted to demonstrate how not to run a premier league club to somebody, show them the sunderland model under Byrne and short

okay lets look at it, les reed when curbs left charlton = disaster

rene mul at fulham = disaster
tim sherwood spurs - turning into a disaster
ricky s at us = disaster

people getting promoted through the ranks never has a happy ending

Very harsh given the games he has had and the fact he took over in the 15 point season. In fact its a ludicrous way to look at it.
Yep, I wouldn't give him the job but he's always been dealt a difficult hand

Where do you stand on the whole thing rocky lad, always like your input and thoughts

How about, I dinnar, Di Matteo at Chelsea?

Pep Guardiola at Barcelona worked OK too.

Having thought about it I think this is the right way to go - he's completely lost the plot in pretty much all areas of his role. 'tactics', team selections, man-management, media comments etc.

Since our gradual, alarming slide to the foot of the table since the Hull home game he's been disastrous and is getting worse. He looked like a lost soul in the dugout at Spurs last week

His 'rotten to the core' outburst for me is absolutely unacceptable, it wasn't that when we'd beaten Stoke at home and Newcastle 0-3 to go 12th/14th, prior to our big day out at Wembley. Everything was rosy then

However, since things have gone tits up and the going has gotten tough he's passed the buck big time, his latest comments for me just highlight this further. The last 12 months in the Premier League have been nothing short of a disaster, the period shared by two outspoken foreign rookie managers who have been shown up to be out of their depth and it's cost us, meanwhile West Ham and Crystal Palace have eased to safety, I wonder why. Even Felix Magath could now keep Fulham up

Short will sack him anyway imho - either when relegation is confirmed or at the start of the summer. No question. Poyet was brought here to keep us up, nothing else.

Worried about the future

Here we go again.........Yeah who exactly in???? this is a football merry go round, and we're worse off because of the constant sackings....in fact if they are wondering about whats wrong with the club, ts the constant pressure to get rid of managers not long into their tenure. He needs time to develop his team, if not we are going to get another manager adding to another team of players made of multiple managers.
It needs to be stopped if we're are to move forward........

..........and which manager would want this job knowing they could be booed out of the job within six months????

The problem is he won't even confirm that he will be here next season although he is under contract for another year, the transcript from Mark Douglas's interview after the game reads:

MD: There’s bits and pieces flying about saying that you may walk away at the end of the season. Is that the case?

GP: First of all, it’s difficult to talk now after a game because the feelings don’t help to answer your questions. I think there’s something wrong in the football club and it’s not an excuse. I need to find that. If I don’t find it, we’ve got a problem.

I have thought about this ............ Piss off, he said when he 1st took over that there was a problem within the club. The stuff he has said has been spot on, he's prob talking about the players but can't say it public, luckily most of them will be gone in the summer, and he can build his own squad

No way - Pullis is not the way to go. Couldn't watch that shit every week. Would rather a season in the championship if that's the holy grail
What about ten (seasons in the championship)?

I can't believe that a LONG TERM problem exists when the club has been cleared out so many times. Unless it's lack of quality, that's not actually the fault of anyone except the buyer.
