Sack Poyet now

If I'm honest I suspect he's as thick as a safe door and at best will take his place amongst the many journeymen managers we have floating around. No way would I sack him though, right here and now my dreams have been knocked so many times he'd do. We have some serious shit to deal with, this is no time to start looking around for yet another three week hero.
This has got nothing to do with looking for a '3 week hero' people seem to be getting the wrong end of the stick

I just want the right man for the job, everyone does. I can only speak for myself, but I don't think Poyet is the answer unfortunately

Don't confuse shit footballers with that shit served up by pulis. Thank fuck we didn't bring that hoofball and obstruction merchant to the sol.

You'll have quit playing this noble purist shit in the face of our decline. It's all bottom line now, it's a results based game, all about value for money. Entertainment, what the fuck's that about. The Premier league is all that counts, be there or be nobodies. Nobody cares about losers, just roll up and pay the money, to fuck with what your watching. Just be there.

I'm aiming at the general fuckwittery on this board, nothing personal.

Didn't take it personally mate, just assumed you were aiming at my OP

Chopping and changing the manager year on year just simply isnt the answer! We need to stick with Gus for few years not just a few month. I honestly believe long term he is the right man to take us forward!
Not quite. We need to find a decent manager who has some decent tactical ideas and man management skills, then stick with whomever it is for a few years.

hes anything but and Christ knows where you dredge that opinion from...........and then back it up by saying the bloke "whose as thick as a safe door" should remain our manager.............

aye agree with stability but having the right man is key, you won't get good by sticking with a manager if he is shite.

and poyet has been eroding any faith i have in him. OP is bang on the money, buck passing left right and centre. first the '5 at the back was all teh players fault' and now it is the whole club is cursed. no gus, you have just bottled it big time starting with the hull game, the 'its not real madrid' comment was ludicrus and everything since then has been garbage, both on teh pitch and the shite out of his mouth.

He's thick as two short planks man. However, in football this can often be a blessing in disguise. As we've found to our cost it's always possible to find someone even more stupid than the current incumbent, and guess what, there's always a club prepared to hire them. Us.

aye of course he is...............not a shred in his career to back this up and five weeks ago you wouldn't have posting such utter shite on here......................

he wants out and not of his own volition and if you cant see it youre as thick as you claim he is............

Five weeks ago I wasn't fussed either way, guess what I'm still not. You carry on rallying the troops lad. I'll carry on posting about the way I see things.

This (especially the first paragraph), people mention stability as if its all we need but as you rightly say it isnt, we need the right manager AND stability. We could give howard wilkinson 20 years and we wouldnt improve! So the question is "is Poyet the right man?". There has to be a lot of doubt about that- if he wanted to be allowed to leave for nowt if he kept us up having given him his PL chance then i'd suggest he isnt committed and never was, in which case he isnt the right man. Then theres current questions over his desire, tactics etc.

Thing is, this is a period of change anyway, new league and probably a very new side, this is one time where stability in the dugout probably isnt as vital- someone coming into a team moulded by poyet but who has a totally different style could often be a nightmare as theyd need many new players, but in this case we need loads of new players anyway. We now need to decide what kind of team we want to build, pick the right man (which might be poyet if he goes to Short with a plan and some determination) and then we need to stick with them

No I will carry on picking up on total crap about Poyet as you have posted tonight...........

Theres a monster of a difference and he certainly isn't as "thick as a safe door".................

You are ( and I know you aint ) if you really think he is...............

This (especially the second paragraph). Now is the time to do it, if we are going to do it. Doesn't seem like he gives any more of a fuck than i do right now [whether he stays or not]

As far as I can see we might as well do it, just roll the dice once more while we can still give ourselves a chance of staying up just by winning our home games.

I have a similar suspicion. He certainly seems like someone who think he's a lot brighter than he is.

I don't think he's thick but beginning to think he is a bit, eh, prone to strange behaviour and general flakiness. His previous form at Brighton backs up this theory.

Clever bloke imo, he is playing games to get things how he wants them , he knows he can only do a job if he has total control, that's what hes after and I hope he gets it.
