Sack Poyet now

Not weeks, I've mentioned it a couple of times

Although yes, I have had a complete change of heart having thought about it all and what's been said recently. for me, he has to go.

He is simply tossing the blame atm and I see nothing to suggest that will change. I have very little confidence about next season with him in charge
That's fair enough. Stability is out the window again though.

He's a good manager IMO with his first experience in the premier league. We need stability and we should do that with Poyet. He can rebuild in the summer for the championship, challenge for promotion and wether it's this season coming or next he will be better prepared for a second spell in the PL
I agree, like any new manager he has made mistakes, especially with the pressure being cranked up this last month but I think he is still the right man, and I don't buy into the recent school of thought that he wants out/given up/ready to walk talk.

We don't have any anyway now.

There's is no hard evidence t back what you say though. He has failed miserably, transfer window, selection, substitutions, tactics, utterances which are out of place and none-professional and, above all results.

I watched his Brighton team play a good brand of football at a level we will be playing at next season. His points per game ratio is decent bearing in mind that absolute shambles he inherited. in terms of transfer window, our DOF was sacked mid window and the net amount given to spend was peanuts which did not help, though there is no doubt the cheap signings made have not made any where near the impact. I have also not seen any evidence he wants away.

Having thought about it I think this is the right way to go - he's completely lost the plot in pretty much all areas of his role. 'tactics', team selections, man-management, media comments etc.

Since our gradual, alarming slide to the foot of the table since the Hull home game he's been disastrous and is getting worse. He looked like a lost soul in the dugout at Spurs last week

His 'rotten to the core' outburst for me is absolutely unacceptable, it wasn't that when we'd beaten Stoke at home and Newcastle 0-3 to go 12th/14th, prior to our big day out at Wembley. Everything was rosy then

However, since things have gone tits up and the going has gotten tough he's passed the buck big time, his latest comments for me just highlight this further. The last 12 months in the Premier League have been nothing short of a disaster, the period shared by two outspoken foreign rookie managers who have been shown up to be out of their depth and it's cost us, meanwhile West Ham and Crystal Palace have eased to safety, I wonder why. Even Felix Magath could now keep Fulham up

Short will sack him anyway imho - either when relegation is confirmed or at the start of the summer. No question. Poyet was brought here to keep us up, nothing else.

Worried about the future

Aye, clever. Changing manager after manager is definitely the way forward.

No idea why we haven't tried that before.

Yep. It's a mess anyway and it's going to get worse before it gets better

Now is the time to push Poyet

So, which Sunderland player are you?

And then what?
The remaining games are a complete write off Jarvo. Play them out with the tea lady in charge for all I care

The point is - Short will sack Poyet, he's trigger happy, we know this. Poyet was brought here to keep us in the division, that's undeniable. 1 point in 24 recently is a disaster - he's immensely failed on that aspect.

Or - Gus will walk, he looks a lost, beaten man and for me doesn't have have the fight or enthusiasm for the rebuilding challenge that lies ahead, which is a massive worry. I don't think his heart is fully in it

Out of work, my first choice to spearhead the Championship campaign would be Mackay. My overall realistic first choice would be Allardyce

this paragraph sums it up

So replace him, wait for somebody else to come in a and fail and then off we go again.
Under this board you could put any manager in charge, don't think it matters as the club will only go in one direction.

Bollocks. I don't buy into this crap whatsoever. There is nothing to suggest someone else couldn't have come in and kept us up and done a better job - and certainly make better use of the January transfer window

Ellis Short didn't force Poyet to spend £4m on Scocco or £3.5m on Bridcutt

He's failed. Sorry Gus, shut the door on the way out
