Sack Poyet now

He's a good manager IMO with his first experience in the premier league. We need stability and we should do that with Poyet. He can rebuild in the summer for the championship, challenge for promotion and wether it's this season coming or next he will be better prepared for a second spell in the PL

Interesting this 'rotten to the core' thing; I've read the transcript and I can't see that phrase. Were they actually HIS words?

Anyway. Sacking Poyet would be f***ing stupid. Pellegrini couldn't keep this shower of shite up; it's not poyet's fault at the end of the day. He's made some mistakes perhaps, but it's like criticising an artist who's got no f***ing paint. The average fans' answer on here seems to be 'oh well, things are shite, let's sack another manager!'. Well hang on, why don't we give this guy some time to see what he can actually DO, once he's rid of this bloody dead wood he's having to 'work' with!

Having thought about it I think this is the right way to go - he's completely lost the plot in pretty much all areas of his role. 'tactics', team selections, man-management, media comments etc.

Since our gradual, alarming slide to the foot of the table since the Hull home game he's been disastrous and is getting worse. He looked like a lost soul in the dugout at Spurs last week

His 'rotten to the core' outburst for me is absolutely unacceptable, it wasn't that when we'd beaten Stoke at home and Newcastle 0-3 to go 12th/14th, prior to our big day out at Wembley. Everything was rosy then

However, since things have gone tits up and the going has gotten tough he's passed the buck big time, his latest comments for me just highlight this further. The last 12 months in the Premier League have been nothing short of a disaster, the period shared by two outspoken foreign rookie managers who have been shown up to be out of their depth and it's cost us, meanwhile West Ham and Crystal Palace have eased to safety, I wonder why. Even Felix Magath could now keep Fulham up

Short will sack him anyway imho - either when relegation is confirmed or at the start of the summer. No question. Poyet was brought here to keep us up, nothing else.

Worried about the future
You have got to be on a wind up. You have been posting about stability for weeks.

He's not good enough to manage in the Premier league, the last few weeks have alarmingly proved that, IF he stays then we'll see what he can do in rebuilding a team for the Championship. I don't think he's up for the challenge though going by his recent comments and his general negative demeanour, so if he does clear off I can't say id be even slightly bothered.

I agree. Well said young man.

Conceding the FA Cup at that late of a stage and giving a bunch of mentally frail players the message that they don't need to try their hardest to win every match was wrong. 5-3-2 against West Ham was outrageous. He's made bad mistakes.

People read "his heart isn't into it" from his comments, though, I think they're proof he does give a fuck and he does want to make a difference here.

Why doesn't someone tell Ellis Short that in England we have the Manager Of The Month award, which isn't a competition but the law in this country. That will keep managers and players on their toes and give regular appeasment to supporters permanently outraged by their manager.

Its the f***ing players man, some right thick fucks man. All the past three managers have had a boost but then largely been shit common theme is the players. They are shit, his outburst is of a man whos tried his all with these lot but simply cant get it working for more than that bounce just like the rest of the managers these fucks have had.

Would be utter madness. People are getting their knickers in a twist over what Poyet's said recently, but he's spot on.

I'm sick of us changing managers. We need stability. Poyet has made mistakes of late, but I think they've been born from pure frustration.

I still think Gus is the man to sort out this shambles. I'll be livid if he leaves to be honest.
