Sack Poyet now

Because he clearly doesn't want to be part of it, his heart isn't fully in it. His recent comments and general demeanour tell that

At a time where we need the manager to be positive and provide assurance, he's doing the complete opposite. Cryptic nonsense and suggesting he might be off

Not a chance he'll resign imo, he's angling for the sack. It's as clear as day

Yet another outspoken bellend hanging around for a payoff. What a f***ing mess

Seems crazy like, we're going down and he seems to want out but then he also apparently asked for a clause so that if he kept us up he could get out, if thats true i dont know why we took him or why he accepted tbh, have we been aiming to get someone else in to rebuild the club all along and poyet was happy to try and spend part of a season here first in the hopes of boosting his reputation whilst having a decent excuse if he failed? God knows, nothing would surprise me.

Ive just read the George Caulkin tweets about his comments at the press conference.....puts a different spin on it. However I think there is a bigger responsibility on the club to come clean over what is going on

The shadowy days around the demise of Di Canio when the club backed players who frankly werent worth it was the dark catalyst for what we see now

Poyet has had a nightmare since Wembley.....Short has been a f***ing total disaster since last summer and needs to explain himself

As usual the fans bear the brunt

If he doesn't want to be here he doesn't want to be here. No amount of money will change that. It could keep him quiet for a short while but ultimately the festering puss will make it's way to the surface.
If he wants to go he should do the honorable thing and f**k off with no payout.

If he wants a golden handshake i'd tell him to f**k himself, give him a pot of red paint and tell him to sort the f**king seats out, as far away from the team as possible.

I think Short's bank balance may also be about to bear the brunt

You could be right.....but thats what happens when you work with a boardroom that includes no one with a footballing brain. Congerton may bring something different to that particular party

Having thought about it I think this is the right way to go - he's completely lost the plot in pretty much all areas of his role. 'tactics', team selections, man-management, media comments etc.

Since our gradual, alarming slide to the foot of the table since the Hull home game he's been disastrous and is getting worse. He looked like a lost soul in the dugout at Spurs last week

His 'rotten to the core' outburst for me is absolutely unacceptable, it wasn't that when we'd beaten Stoke at home and Newcastle 0-3 to go 12th/14th, prior to our big day out at Wembley. Everything was rosy then

However, since things have gone tits up and the going has gotten tough he's passed the buck big time, his latest comments for me just highlight this further. The last 12 months in the Premier League have been nothing short of a disaster, the period shared by two outspoken foreign rookie managers who have been shown up to be out of their depth and it's cost us, meanwhile West Ham and Crystal Palace have eased to safety, I wonder why. Even Felix Magath could now keep Fulham up

Short will sack him anyway imho - either when relegation is confirmed or at the start of the summer. No question. Poyet was brought here to keep us up, nothing else.

Worried about the future
Can you tell me where rotten to the core was used by Poyet? We are not. There have been bad decisions made. The rotten bit are pretendy supporters looking to dramatize everything. Hopefully they go away in the championship.

I just wonder what controls there will be on congerton or if he will be allowed to get away with whatever he likes aka di fanti?

Ha way man. We've been relegated from the pl 4 times now, 3 from the foot of the table. We've been relegated 8 times since the 1970s despite all the resources we have thrown at it and you're trying to tell everyone that the club is not rotten.

You're just wrong and short sighted.

No. We have had bad managers and decisions but getting relegated doesn't make you rotten to the core. Drama queens. We didn't play well enough and win enough games. What's rotten about it? Who said it was? Other than the children stamping their feet.

Well that's not me as I'll be there if we end up in League Two.

Who are these 'pretendy' supporters then

We've been relegated 8 f***ing times man since the mid 70s, 4 of them from the PL. Until the formation of the pl we had never ended up bottom in a division ever. We will now be relegated from the pl for the third time running as the bottom club.

The current situation is ultimately
No different to the 15 and 19 point efforts. Yet again safc has imploded.

Say short sacked him, can anyone tell me who the fuck would come and manage us who's better than poyet? Knee jerking from manager to manager will put us down with wolves, can no one see this?

So keep the wrong man in charge for the sake of having a manager longer than 6 months? I see. That's a new one

This. Im not saying sack poyet but i also dont think that simply sticking with a manager is a foolproof solution either. The right man should get time but we dont know if poyet is. Should we have kept wilkinson for 5 years just to "give him time"?

Poyet should be sacked. It's very simple. He clearly doesn't want to be here. How can a manager who doesn't want to be here have any credence with the players?

Sack the fucker.

Ok that's a point, so now tell me who's going to come here, to a newly relegated club which is acquiring a reputation for sacking managers after 6 months?
