Sack Poyet now

What about ten (seasons in the championship)?

I can't believe that a LONG TERM problem exists when the club has been cleared out so many times. Unless it's lack of quality, that's not actually the fault of anyone except the buyer.
A lot of the players are the same ones that were here under bruce, we have had a few quality players but we sell them on

Having thought about it I think this is the right way to go - he's completely lost the plot in pretty much all areas of his role. 'tactics', team selections, man-management, media comments etc.

Since our gradual, alarming slide to the foot of the table since the Hull home game he's been disastrous and is getting worse. He looked like a lost soul in the dugout at Spurs last week

His 'rotten to the core' outburst for me is absolutely unacceptable, it wasn't that when we'd beaten Stoke at home and Newcastle 0-3 to go 12th/14th, prior to our big day out at Wembley. Everything was rosy then

However, since things have gone tits up and the going has gotten tough he's passed the buck big time, his latest comments for me just highlight this further. The last 12 months in the Premier League have been nothing short of a disaster, the period shared by two outspoken foreign rookie managers who have been shown up to be out of their depth and it's cost us, meanwhile West Ham and Crystal Palace have eased to safety, I wonder why. Even Felix Magath could now keep Fulham up

Short will sack him anyway imho - either when relegation is confirmed or at the start of the summer. No question. Poyet was brought here to keep us up, nothing else.

Worried about the future
If he does get sacked I would question the timing of it, it should have been done if they are going to sack him after the Crystal Palace game, to give anyone coming in the chance of the new manager bump against Norwich & West ham.

I agree but it's looking worse and worse for him, he can hardly turn to results and say, whatever else, they are ok, they're not.

Don't think the timing matters on this one, the season and our fate is a lost cause now.

Get rid now and plan ahead. He isn't committed to the football club and the big challenge ahead

Reading between the lines, it sounds as though he's trying to force Short's hand now though. Maybe so he doesn't have a relegation on his CV.

Who knows any more what goes on behind closed doors at our club.

Is this guy a complete pussy? Or is it Short yanking his chain? Or are the players just too much? Find it hard to understand if it is the players as this summer gives the manager at least the chance to clear the decks and start again.

Spot on marra! PDC gave a fuck and was a much better player than Mr SAFC Ball! Sick of hearing fuckwits screaming for a new manager! The problem is the absolute garbage players. Poyet did not even use the words rotten to the core. The relevant part of what he said was that the players needed a shock to start to play! there's the problem. Many of the players do not give a shite! Poyet, does not know his best team as there is no best team thanks to the shower of gutless shite he has inherited! No manager can work with this squad. They are toxic. I want to see the back of most of them including B ardsley and Catermole.

This is whats wrong, bravo

Quite possibly, he has said some daft things like.

Now it's a lost cause but it wasn't when we still had Norwich and West Ham to play, that's why I think the timing would be very strange.

Ah well Gus! When you've lost the smb there is no way back! Goodbye!
Ok here we go January signings totally ineffective , games v sidez around us ineffective , motivational methods in play ineffective , attitude toward a high profile FA cup game ineffective , accepting no responsibility whatsover for this years capitulation and instilling a negative attitude with every soundbite , alluding to 'weak' players than priceeding in playing them , I could add further but yeh its the smb and fans fault .

The one thing he has on his side is the fact that those current players are clearly not good enough and they weren't good enough for 4 other managers either.

Tend to agree. It would be about 4 weeks too late. But I'd still do it

I think Gus had had enough time, I dont think he is up to the job to be honest

Sack now is the way forward

I think its a time for cool heads at the club. Poyet has had a disaster since Wembley but we can't keep sacking managers every time we have a bad run We need to understand that Poyet is working with one the biggest shower of scumbags to ever represent us - a good number are going to piss off in a few weeks and there will undoubtedly be some sold to avoid the same fuck up with contracts we've seen this season

Its going to be a major rebuild so why would we shift that responsibility to someone else?

Because he clearly doesn't want to be part of it, his heart isn't fully in it. His recent comments and general demeanour tell that

At a time where we need the manager to be positive and provide assurance, he's doing the complete opposite. Cryptic nonsense and suggesting he might be off

Not a chance he'll resign imo, he's angling for the sack. It's as clear as day

Yet another outspoken bellend hanging around for a payoff. What a f***ing mess
