Sack Moyes now.

We don't have one now so the OP is totally right.

You say he will sort it out. How? How will he sort it out? What will he do? What can you see him doing with such certainty and guarantee that you can put anything on it? You cannot turn what many people no doubt saw.

You say these things take time. How long? Can you put a schedule on it? Can you?
notes can't be judged on so few games, everybody can see that, his tenure will either be seen as successful or another in a long list of failures, but that ain't gonna be today. His team needs to settle and some injured need to return before we can really see what system and results he can achieve.

Somehow we have stayed in the Premiership for 10 seasons despite struggling every year. We make absolutely no progress. The problem is clearly that we change managers virtually every year. Sooner or later we need to stick with a manager through thick and thin. If we'd kept MON, even if we went down, we may now be playing with a recognised style and making progress. I know Allardyce achieved a lot in a short time but that has gone now. I predicted going to the match last night that people would turn against Moyes quickly and so it is. Maybe some fans are as guilty as Short with this idiotic manager merry-go-round.

Keeping Mon is probably the worst suggestion I have ever heard on here. We would be dropping like a stone, playing in front of 5000.

You just don't know that. Sooner or later we need to keep a manager for longer than a couple of seasons. Hull did OK keeping hold of Bruce, same with Burnley and Dyche, us and Reidy when we went down. There are no certainties in football. One thing for sure we would never be playing in front of 5000.

Mr Moyes made far too many basic mistakes last night for me... After Barkley went off at half time it took the staff 10 minutes to realise that Everton had changed the system letting Barry and Guyere push up have free range on our defensive midfield. Taking off young Gooch instead of Whatmore was just plain stupid as Gooch was much more effective and when we went 5-4-1 Fecking hell...just to stabilize the defence which allowed Everton more room for the pass and move. I despair.

He is showing a lack of grit and ambition imo, the bench was incapable of changing the game, why not include a couple of the young forwards? His acceptance of the perceived position we should expect to be in speaks volumes for what we will see this season.

To my mind, it is just like last season. Advacaat / Moyes, good managers with proven track records working with good players, but (unlike BSA) not up to scrapping. Last night the team looked tired and were wandering around not knowing what to do - just like at the start of last season. Come on Moyes, please prove me wrong.

Imterested to see who else now shares this opinion?
Everton were near the bottom the first two years he took over, but thankfully was given time and made them 4-7th in the next few years.
I'm going to give him more than a season. More than 2. We need stability.
Wanting to get rid of a manager after 4 games is probsbly one of the most pathetic things ive ever read on here.
