Sack Moyes now.

Moyes is a notorious slow starter. We don't start until Christmas.

Who expected a flyer?

Took big Sam a while to find something that worked as well, I fully expected us to struggle early doors like. However if Moyes continues to set us up like he did last night he will only make his job harder

you come out with the same shit every season, if we had won last night you wouldnt be anywhere near this board and you know it.

Actually that is not quite right. I would be massively celebrating - only for people like you to now to snuff that out by accusing me of being carried away. It HAS happened before. I am down I am negative. I am up I am carried away.

So what is it to be? What the fuck do you want from me?

Watch what happens on here after we win at Spurs: thread titles.

I knew Moyesey would get it right

Absolute spot on tactics today

I had faith all along

To the doubters

Signings are beginning to gel

Let's kick on now with some winnable games

Exactly. Most on here are fickle. They forget how bad we were before any win which sadly I don't see happening this season - not going on how we have done.

he has been badly let down by the board in the summer, got to feel for him, jose or pep could do fuck all with that shower of shite

Not yet, our aim yet again will be to finish 4th bottom, so need to aim 2-3 wins before Christmas and at least 12 points at Christmas ( allardyce lost every game in December)

I could see Moyes walking if we don't win by November...
Haway Trev man  (he'll be sacked anyway ;))

Impossible, I would say. Surely he must have looked at what worked last season, is that not the rigt way to go about it? This amount of immediate change is asking for trouble. Surely he must have known, or been told about our weaknesses in midfield to take just one example.

His player selection was ok last night it was more the 4-4-1-1 set up. We don't have enough about us to play 2 central midfielders, even more so with the 2 he picked for different reasons. If we had Gooch in there we could allow Kirchoff to play deeper and cover the defence which would have made a difference. We could have played Janzaj out wide as he doesn't offer enough centrally

A lot of people rightfully praise how our defence played during the run in last season but the way we set our midfield up to support the defenders was as equally important and it is something Moyes needs to get back too

Obviously the OP is a nailed on wind-up merchant and should be dignified with a response but, if we sack Moyes now we'd never get a decent manager for a long long time. Our reputation is bad enough.
He'll sort it out anyway. These things take time.

He will get it right. Remember how shit we were last season until the New Year? Allardyce team lost every game in December.

Haven't we played with pretty much the same strting 11 so far?

No

From the 1st game v City to last nights starting 11, there were

Mannone Pickford 1 Change
Love Manquillo 1 change
Kaboul Djilobodji 1 Change
OShea Kirchoff 1 Change
Borini Januzaj 1 Change

5 changes but injuries to Borini and sale of Kaboul hasnt helped and then Kirchoff being fit. Cattermole back from injury shortly will result in another change and then Ndong, logically you think will be a starter so that is another change

The key to our success from Jan was having a settled 11 which is why I think before we start with Moyes out chants, let him at least get his starting 11 in order

Pva, I am not sure if his injury before halftime hindered him or if he was just yet another off night, but he was struggling again towards the end so possibly a change v Spurs and Moyes towards the end seemed to be playing with 3 at the back so not sure if this is another formation he is looking at

We don't have one now so the OP is totally right.

You say he will sort it out. How? How will he sort it out? What will he do? What can you see him doing with such certainty and guarantee that you can put anything on it? You cannot turn what many people no doubt saw.

You say these things take time. How long? Can you put a schedule on it? Can you?
