I've already said that I hope Wickham fulfils his potential but at this moment in time Noble is ahead of him, that isn't writing someone off.

He's clearly not ahead of him. In fact I'll use an SMB line that I f***ing hate.

MON clearly doesn't think so, I take it you know more than him?

You seriously believe that Noble is ahead of Wickham in his career, based on one goal in a f***ing friendly?

I don't think MON will have been anything other than impressed with Noble after yesterdays cameo, I'd be surprised if he didn't start the next friendly game.

One good goal and now Noble is ahead of Wickham ?? Would have no problem having Wickham in or around first team squad at the moment but Noble is nowhere near ready. People getting a little carried away.

Other than a decent performance against a relegated Bolton team and a poor Villa team, what have you seen from Wickham that suggests he can score goals?

I think Noble is ahead of Jesus in terms of being the Messiah. I reckon Noble could get at least 100 goals next season if he stays fit. There's nee need to spend 10m on a decent striker when we have the best in the country, if not Europe

Ha'way then tell us how you see more in Noble despite him looking poor and failing to score in The Championship?

Seen enough to suggest that he would be a better option coming off the bench than Wickham.

You've seen him come off the bench and score in a friendly

Neither Noble or Wickham are going to be starting many(or any) games next season. If say we sign a targetman like Fletcher, you need someone to bring on that's going to be a bit different, bringing on a like for like player in the shape of Wickham would serve no purpose.

In your words after Defoe was linked "Defoe (Noble) wouldn't fit into a MON system"

Wickham would.

What is that based on? If we had paid £8m for Noble your opinion would be the other way round. Wickham was performing at 16 in the championship, noble has admitted struggling in the championship at 20. Despite wickham being 2 years younger he has a lot more experience and a better track record, not just scoring against youth teams.

This, wickham would destroy quite a few youth teams, it just so happens that he's about 5 year further down the line than playing against teams like that

Saw him play for 4 or 5 times for Pools and there was nothing to suggest that he would make it in the top flight. He didn't really stand out in any of the games.

Would love him to be a success here but he has a long way to go from what I've seen.

Noble wouldn't be starting games though, he'd be a different option to bring on. Why on earth would O'Neill pay £10m for Defoe to sit on a bench? O'Neill has already stated numerous times that we're after someone to hold the ball up, no idea why you think we are going to be after Defoe.

I'd imagine if MON signed Defoe he'd play him. Not saying he is after him.

I'll also be amazed if Noble is on the bench come the Arsenal game.
