Russia v Slovakia

I'm no Rooney fan but he had a good game the other day and I actually thought Roy made a terrible choice in deciding to sub him for Wilshere.

Rooney had s good match, but Roy was right to sub him. He was knackered. I think however Kane should have gone off for Vardy early on in second half. And Sterling should have come off as well. The game was there for the taking.

So the guy made a couple of bad substitutions, agreed, but what do you expect, perfection every single time? He will learn from that and take it into the next game along with who he picks to start. You either have expectations that cannot be met, or simply do not like the guy so much (for seemingly no reason) that you will use any excuse to criticise rather than supporting the team.
But that brings us back to my original point, you said he will learn from his mistakes but he has made a number of mistakes in 3 tournaments now and he still hasn't learned from them. I don't think my expectations are too unrealistic, I just expect us to top this group fairly comfortably and was hoping Roy would share this opinion but recent evidence shows he is going in too conservative and that could potentially cost us again.

The ironic thing is if the Russian support goes mental at the end of this match and they get thrown out, Slovakia will end up on zero points again.

Slovakia look a good team when theyve got the ball. All the Welsh around me on saturday wouldve been happy with a point once theyd equalised. Cmon Rusia lets have an equaliser.

Would they not award everyone else the win against Russia? Otherwise it would be unfair in the third placed team who would have played one game less than the other third place teams.
