He will have budgeted for a war lasting so long and had plans, it might not be going to plan and could easily be stopped.

It could also be his plan to hold
Back from the first wave then attack.

His supply line will always cost the problem wars are won and lost on supplies and logistics.
and this is on borrowed time. Will be a lot harder to resupply soon. Will have to be through Belarus or from this controlled regions. The rest will be a quagmire.

All true but we were discussing the context of how much this will eat into his gold reserves. It was suggested it's all gone.

I was quite surprised to read about the size of Ukraine's armed forces. I'd assumed the Russian 190k would outnumber them by multiples but apparently they have 200k active plus another 700k reservists. Throw in the general population arming themselves and that's substantial resistance. Obviously the Russians have greater weapons capability and that for me is the worry, I don't think they can win a war fighting street by street, town by town and ultimately they'll resort to more destructive weapons.

The best thing the West can do imo is to keep the flow of more advanced weapons going into Ukraine.

Releasing convicts to fight whilst not allowing males 18-60 leave the country and you're telling me the Russians are the ones with all the problems?

It's either a conclusive Russia victory and a puppet state is formed or Ukraine gives territory in the east to Russia.
Nobody has said Russia is the one with all the problems so nobody us telling you that mate

Breaking News on Talk Sport:

Abramovich trying to broker a peace deal with Ukraine.

From Sam Matterface

🤷‍♂️

Talk Sport will say anything to get a plug.

No doubt this 'Breaking News' was sandwiched between a couple of ads.

It would have been better for Abramovich if he publicised this on saturday night instead of his handing the stewardship of Chelsea over to folk he hadn't consulted.
