Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

It’ll be these boys and their chums who will sort it out. Vlad has served them well, but the clock is now ticking.

I don't think loyalty is high on the agenda over there tbh.

So a group of Neo Nazis bringing race into it when the person who they're fighting for is ironically, Jewish, makes it all okay?

If there wasn't a war happening there'd be outrage over these people.
If there is a Russian in a tank coming towards your village would you refuse their help?

Plenty of time for building a post war Ukraine but the war has to have finished.

how’s the weather up there in the moral high ground? Christ it’s a war and people are being murdered on both sides. The Chechens are fair game if they’re willing to fight for somebody that in all honesty probably thinks they’re absolute scum. Another Putin puppet sending his men to the slaughter.

Completely fair game, fuck them they’re choosing to fight the horrible bastards
I can kind of see both sides.

If I was defending my hometown, and a division come from Chechnya, to help the Russians, after all the shit Russia has hoyed their way in the past, I would be furious and it would be fair game.

Plus it might psych out the enemy and any advantage is not to be sniffed at, it's not a pillow fight at the end of the day.

Unfortunately, I don't think it is all about the above. Seen too many nazi flags to think it is.

It doesn't change my unwaivering support for Ukraine, but it still isn't great to see.

The claims that over 4,000 Russian troops have perished don’t seem to be backed up with evidence on social media , is it just me that is thinking there’s more propaganda coming from both sides than usual ?

Of course there’s propaganda, we’re in the Information Age.

The pro Russia stuff can be found on state tv and on telegram, Twitter is extensively pro Ukraine.

I get a kick out of the bbc saying Russian state tv are saying x, saying y as if the bbc and British media don’t do the same.

Zelensky has asked the EU to accept Ukraine as a member immediately.

Not sure that will gain any traction tbh.

He's asking NATO to fight for Ukraine, I 100% think we should be. This isn't a last ditch effort from them, they're on our side and have been for years.

Maybe we're showing Putin that if anyone shows an interest in joining NATO then all he has to do it challenge a border, then we will refuse entry

It is disgraceful and incendiary. Of course, the Chechens would be safe from pig bullets if they hadn't invaded a sovereign country for cash.

Chechnya is arguably more anti-Putin than Ukraine is! They've craved independence since the 90's !

And probably would of achieved it to until Putin had their leader assassinated, put his son in charge who suspiciously doesn't feel any resentment about his Da getting assassinated.

So no, it's definitely not money they're getting. More like forced to.

I'm a bit concerned that a Russian expert thinks that he might release a small once first, in the North sea, between the UK and Denmark.

That logic dosen't follow at all

He's basically saying that because he personally failed to recognise the possibility that Putin might do something he went on to fo on multiple occasions (which many, many others were saying at the time he was very likely to do) it follows that Putin might do anything

An alternative way to look at this is man who has by his own admission repeatedly failed to predict Putin's behaviour is predicting Putin's behaviour
