Doubt it, they said that about Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam and look how all of them turned out. Years of an utter shitfest. The Americans could take on both the Russian and Chinese navies with just a fraction of what they have.
That's nice dear.I will listen to the the words from the UN Sec Gen
"I must say, President Putin: In the name of humanity bring your troops back to Russia. In the name of humanity do not allow to start in Europe what could be the worst war since the beginning of the century, with consequences not only devastating for Ukraine, not only tragic for the Russian Federation, but with an impact we cannot even foresee in relation to the consequences for the global economy in a moment when we are emerging from the COVID [pandemic] and so many developing countries absolutely need to have space for the recovery which would be very, very difficult, with the high prices of oil, with the end of exports of wheat from Ukraine, and with the rising interest rates caused by instability in international markets.
This conflict must stop - now. Thank you very much."
Pretty sure our military are on stand by, and stuff is being readied just in case. More military aircraft flying over my place than I have ever seen.
That's from the sky drama. It's even got the logo.Fighting around Chernobyl now, what could go wrong?
But they do have 11 carrier groups, that's lot.Having worked alongside the American Navy, it's a good job they have lots of ships, because most of them don't f***ing work and spend most of the time being repaired mate.![]()
Fucks sake, as if life isn’t bad enough being bombed by Vlad the poor fuckers have scousers singing at themLiverpool fan on Twitter.
@lfcbas: To all Ukrainians![]()
:
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone

Ukrainian Ambassador for UK on sky news atm saying they need more equipment, desperate for it. Plus aid and money.Ukraine are holding their own but they need help!! Surely we cant sit back and just allow this to play out?
I'm on the flight path from RNAS Culdrose to RNAS Yeovilton. Very busy today.Lad I know had a son who won a short flight trip at Dishforth, that was cancelled yesterday along with other goings on
This would still be happening if Ukraine wasn’t trying to join NATO.That's nice dear.
The UN Sec G has certainly made some eloquent points which he might as well have emailed to our cat for all the good it will do.
By encouraging Ukraine to join Nato, the West has effectively goaded Vlad into this - not that I condone any of this blood letting.
Getting back to the media than, I've seen analysis of this on the Beeb but the editorial line was pro West.
There are other media outlets who report it with a more neutral editorial line and remind us of the centuries old alliance between The Rus, Tsarist Russia, the commies with Ukraine.
One more terrible thing to come out of all of this is the preponderance of obnoxious gas bags on the box (talking to you Mr Johnson and Monseur Macron)

I'd rather listen to the Un than some media outlet harking back to treaties and friendships of yesteryear as justification for an illegal invasionThat's nice dear.

Been brewing ever since the pro Russian Government was overthrown in Ukraine in 2014(?). All this goading stuff is shiteThat's nice dear.

They'll be very tetchy if any Russian aircraft approach our airspace and if they enter they should shoot them down immediately. The Russians did that with a Korean airliner years ago.I'm on the flight path from RNAS Culdrose to RNAS Yeovilton. Very busy today.
Mate, I was in the RN, and very proud of it too.But they do have 11 carrier groups, that's lot.
We need to send theseMad Vlad Will be shitting himself
He was annoyed that America was having to foot the entire bill. Loads of European nations: Germany etc. haven't met their commitments for years.Thats True. Even Trump, who made a big song and dance about it, was only moaning about what it cost America, not its actual relevance.
Aye he pulls no punches like. Fair play to him, no political bullshit answers. The ambassador on Sky. Not afraid to speak his mind.
Inspiring bloke. The ambassador on Sky. Not afraid to speak his mind.
