Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES) - Please put sensitive content behind a spoiler

He’s basically right though. That strip of land on the Southern Coast broadly between Mariupol and Odessa was taken in the first 2-3 weeks of the invasion. All they’ve really achieved since then is going into reverse around Kiev, Sumy and Kharkiv to redeploy and consolidate in the east by pounding cities to rubble and advancing at a snails pace.

Now they can keep doing that of course, but for how long? We’ve already seen how bad they are at supplying troops when there was no prospect of supply line disruption. That’s now changed. Withdrawal from Snake Island as a ‘goodwill gesture’, legislation to allow men up to age 65 to join the army, use of anti-ship weapons on land. All points to things not being rosy for them. One thing we know is they cannot keep going indefinitely. Their aim is likely consolidation once (if) the Donetsk region is fully under their control. Will that be tenable as more and more western weaponry and more and more trained soldiers arrive?

It’s incumbent on Zelensky to reiterate the urgency of the situation to the West. It’s in his interest for them to do more and more.

Also with the Russian provisions, winter will be a disaster for Russia as well. They are moving into rubble with no running water or heat sources. Whoever is defending the rubble is going to find it difficult.

Winter will kill or incapacitate a lot of Russian personnel.

Like you say zelensky is making a pitch to the world. Classic sales tactics, time pressure.

Don't get me wrong the Russian artillery is deadly and has been used to devastating effect. The sooner we give Ukraine the necessary amount of weaponry the better. That's the only way they will push Russia back as things stand.

They know the artillery is effective, if they cannot outgun them (yet) cut off the ammo.

RuZZia's slide into authoritarianism continues:

I know this person's comments went down well last time.

He has done a other video on life in Russia.
Seems a better indicator than some of the MSM.

Have not watched it all yet as it's pretty long
