Done that too, it’s a pretty tedious XC course without the snow of 2015At sedgefield later for NE XC championships
Yeah, I quite prefer cross country to be undulating like today to be honest rather than a mud bath like Aykley Heads. But I was goosed anyway. But good event. 15 was freezing!Done that too, it’s a pretty tedious XC course without the snow of 2015
2:54 marathon, 9 minute pb.What are your goals for next year? If we can race again, I'd love
Sub 3 hour marathon.
Sub 10 hours lakeland 50.
Set personal bests in every race.
Your doing class marra2:54 marathon, 9 minute pb.
Not quite sub 10 lakeland 50 but got a pb.
Set pbs in 1 mile, 10km, 10 mile distances.
Qualified for Team GB in duathlon.
Went sub 11 hours and top 20 at Lakesman iron distance with a 25 minute pb on the marathon.
Canny year.
Cheers mate, you too. I'm expecting big things from you next year.Your doing class marra
Keep it up!
Was aiming for 1000 miles this year, but that was kyboshed in March when I did my Achilles and calf in, and then again in September when I had Covid. Only just back to full fitness about a month ago. But there's always next year...Looking back at the start of this thread, did everyone achieve what they set out to do?
I did a handful of 10 mile runs and a couple of half marathons, and got involved with cross country.
Managed a park run under 27 mins and a few different races.
Slowly improving, but think I'd like to have done a few more longer runs as I mostly only do around 7 or 8 mile on my long runs.
I'm going to keep at it and hopefully keep improvingCheers mate, you too. I'm expecting big things from you next year.

Hang fire with your goals until @D.A starts the official 2022 threadIs that the Team GB age group stuff? I follow a couple of the athletes on instagram but never see any details about events etc.
Class going mate.
Ran 3 half marathon PB’s, with the fastest being at the GNR. 2:09.
Did my first standard Duathlon - 3:29. Slow as fuck but I did the bike on a gravel bike and I just wanted to finish.
New 5K PB - 24:54.
New 10k PB - 55:00.
Did the kielder Duathlon but it was pouring down, and I mean pouring, so I was just happy to finish.
Goals for next year - finish a 70.3. Sub 2hr HM, run a marathon.
Yeh it is, I qualified at croft race course whilst doing the standard distance duathlo. I've recently got a cross bike so hoping to do Kielder next year.Is that the Team GB age group stuff? I follow a couple of the athletes on instagram but never see any details about events etc.

Well done on your pbs!
Can you get to start fitness in Newcastle?Anyone fancy recommending some running trainers?
Not a massively serious runner, do a 5k and a 10k a week. Had some 30 quid Adidas ones from sports direct that have served me well but bitten the dust now.

See if you can pop to a specialised running store and see if they can look at your gait. The brooks website is decent to work out what's best. I use brooks.I live in the North West so not necessarily.
Depends on where you do your running too. I never realised until I joined the strollers.Anyone fancy recommending some running trainers?

I haven’t been to that one yet but a good time! I went to Sedgefield Parkrun which is one of my faves like.Huffed and puffed round Chopwell woods parkrun this morning. It's a hard one, 31:12
