Went to the gym for an hour today but the weather was gorgeous so did a 5K after in 23 Minutes, felt like i wanted to run forever.

Aye. Is it even used for anything official anymore? Used to have competitions, tournaments and all-sorts down there years ago. I've only ever seen the odd running club or PT using it nowadays. Shame like.

Unsure if it’s bollocks but I was told few years back that the track is short , less than 1 metre , but can’t be used for official races .

Like the 100m track we had one year at School for sports day. I remember a lass broke the world record

The track was laid incorrectly but it was corrected.
If you look really closely at the bend nearest the ski slope you might still see the remnants of the old lane markings alongside the correct ones.
