53 miles I think, all around the cheviotsUltra? How far is that one , yeah loads of fun...... I'll take your word for it
Had a shit week this week mentally, weather was shit last night but I knew going for a long run would clear my head.
So glad I did. Do you know that feeling when some days you feel like running feels completely effortless and you could just keep on going? Came back completely in a much better frame of mind.

Don’t remind me of that dayDecent run out at the Brampton to Carlisle 10 mile today. Managed a PB in 54.16. Good conditions, dead calm. I’ve done that race previously in a strong westerly head wind and through flood water so today was my reward
This escalated a bit. In hindsight the signs were there for a while but I’ve had two stents fitted this morning.Been pretty much sidelined for two weeks. Partly due to my foot but the walking for a mile on my 8 mile run a couple weeks ago has turned into bailing on a 5k, bailing 200 metres into a 10k on Saturday and leaving the gym after 10 minutes on Monday. I'm hoping that it is just linked to the pain in my foot and painkillers having a knock on effect.
crap. i hurt my hamstring on wednesday night and was a dnf. i only started it as my cousin was coming from switzerland to do it. she done really well and finished. weather was absolutely minging, worst conditions i've had for a race, much worse than the lakeland 100 this year.@D.A how was the marathon?

Cheers mate. Obviously I'm gutted about dnf but I'm over it now.Dear me mate, bad times. Hope the recovery is quick.
They're on Facebook if you want to check.
I know...they're not on mine though...good luck finding them on the trail outlaws pageIm only joking dan
No disgrace in dnf in that at all. Glad I was in the warm and dry all day. Can't believe people are still complaining about the change in route even though mountain rescue basically said change it or cancel. Sunday gave David a kick up the arse , he struggled to keep on his feet even walking it. So I think he's going to come to the strollers and start from the beginning again which I'm glad about as he must have enjoyed it againcrap. i hurt my hamstring on wednesday night and was a dnf. i only started it as my cousin was coming from switzerland to do it. she done really well and finished. weather was absolutely minging, worst conditions i've had for a race, much worse than the lakeland 100 this year.
