Rugby World Cup 2019

That's actually not cool. That group is the only interesting one.
The article did say they're looking at moving both games to Oita, but we're worried about the logistics of it, you would think they'll make more effort to get the Japan-Scotland game on given it means something and that they won't want either to let their own public down or have accusations of anything untoward in giving themselves a helping hand.

If all these games are called off surely it makes a mockery of the whole thing?

I'd imagine they'll be rescheduled.
England v France won't make a lot of difference as both teams have already qualified. If anything it stops the spectacle of both teams trying to lose to get what's perceived as the better draw in the knockout stages.

japan v Scotland is the one they will try to get on for multiple reasons; home nation, tight group, do or die match potentially.

got to play all games IMO if the tournament wants to have any integrity whatsoever

Theyve already said any games that can’t be played due to weather will be 0 0 draws. Not ideal

Like the dodgy ref in the Ireland match?

England versus France now confirmed as off. 0-0 draw. 2pts each.

TOTAL FARCE

Should have moved it on Monday/ Tuesday when concerns were first raised. Could easily have rearranged it. Five days notice is easily enough time to get two sides to a new location. All the others resources required, like stewards etc, could easily have been set up in time as well. It’s not like they aren’t all geared up for hosting a tournament at all.... The nature of Japanese people is that the volunteers would have stepped up to the challenge. Also Japans infrastructure is brilliant and could have got many people to a new location. Could have made tickets free or significantly reduced to local schools etc to get a crowd in.
Also why on earth did the organisers not have a contingency plan in place for any game getting abandoned when the tournament is being played in a region notorious for having severe wet weather around this time of year.

gutted, Eng v Fra was a 6:15 pm kick off here, was heading to the pub for it... also had wales to win by 13 points or more last night

FML

Well that's my Saturday morning plans ruined, I'll have to go shopping now.
