RTG app

Maybe the OP is talking about the striker discount app?

Its a Progressive Web App which means you as an Apple user don’t see it as Apple don’t fully support them. Windows and Android users can take advantage of it.

Installation is either from the address bar in a Chrome based browser by clicking install at the right, or else from the menu (3 horizontal bars) in the forums.

The benefits are fairly subtle, you get an app icon that you can put on your home screen or wherever you want (but you can do that anyway with a standard bookmark). You get extra screen space as there is no address bar in the app, and notifications will be sent direct to the app whether it is running or not, like a traditional app.

Forward/backward buttons are more integrated with the device you are using and "sharing" also ties into other Apps in a better way.

Its easy to try it out, so if anyone is interested I would just install it and see if it works for you. If not, you can delete it and go back to a normal browser.

I've been using it for the last few weeks after coming across it by chance.

Much prefer the app to the website.

Thanks

Keep it that way.

Anyone who uses IoS should not be allowed to use the forums anyway, nowt as queer as folk.
