As per the title, we welcome Academy of Light chief Paul Reid and SAFC Executive Director Charlie Methven on the Roker Rapport Podcast at the end of this week, so here’s your opportunity to submit questions you’d like to hear us ask or suggest topics for discussion.

We’ve not had Paul on the pod since he first came in and the Academy has been under the microscope a bit recently, so will be good to put any concerns or questions about that to him and also hear about what plans we have for the future.

Likewise, Charlie will be on to answer everything and anything you’d like us to asl him so if there’s any burning topics you feel that we need to discuss then please reply to this thread and we’ll do our best to cover off as much as we can in the time we have.

When will supporters be able to put questions to Tony Coton and Richard Hill?
 
Q1. Paul, I understand we have players like Denver in the first team however we also recruited the likes of Ruben Sammut over the summer who has won honours with Chelsea at youth level. With that in mind how are we performing so poorly at 23 level when our average age isn’t lower than the other sides and other sides also have players in and around their first team I.e Reading. We have also recruited the likes of Bainbridge, Hunter and Collins who all have u23 experience yet we look unable to compete.

q2. What qualities is Elliott Dickman bringing as u23 manager?

Turns up to the occasional talk-in and gets paid a decent little wage for it.

some of those are flops (ive never even heard of shields)
some (mcloughlin and dobson) its too early to tell
was dunne a flop? he was a loan who did ok..was better than two of the plyers we had in his positon at the time..
several others you mention have been mediocre rather than good..
overall quality has been below the level we should expect..but to say there hant been on good one is very disinegous..

why would investors in madrox want to be on a sunderland podcast?
 
Does the head of recruitment watch our games? Genuinely, I’m intrigued to know.

If he does, why on earth didn’t he make moves for players with physical strength in midfield and pace in attack?
